I chose him

Ever sighed in contentment as she strolled through the mall, her hand firmly clasped in Nathaniel Carter's. At eight months pregnant, moving around wasn't as easy as it used to be, but with Nathaniel by her side, everything felt lighter. He was warm, steady exactly what she needed.

"Are you sure you don't want to sit down for a while?" Nathaniel asked, glancing at her swollen feet.

Ever chuckled softly, shaking her head. "I'm fine, Nate. If I sit down, I might never get up again."

Nathaniel smirked, pulling her closer as they walked toward a baby store. "Then I guess I'll have to carry you."

She rolled her eyes playfully. "I'd like to see you try. I'm practically a whale at this point."

He stopped in his tracks, turning to face her with a serious expression. "Hey, don't say that. You're beautiful, Ever. Pregnancy makes you glow even more."
