The Vertical Eyes.

"The same boring day. Nothing interesting is going on" Ishan's thoughts, as he was looking or one can say just staring like a skeleton on the blackboard. He was bored to death. "just like the usual days. After lunch break, the boring teach teaching physics as if we are learning language. Like brother, How can you make such an interesting subject so boring that people starts to age, literally entire class keeps yawning. I mean... not like this class is full of scholars" looking all over the class to see how many sincere students are there "hmm.. probably seventeen..? sounds about right. But still.. at the end, it's my job to complain haha" Ishan then lowering his head, putting down his head on the desk, with a fed up sigh "next period is P.E. in which I'd like to just go to my... home what else. And you know what happened next?"

And we that, the period was over. Entire class was excited to go to the playground, and class was happily, packing up their bags in order to leave. "But.. little did they know.."

"CLASS! What's with all this shouting huh?"

Of course, teacher didn't leave the class and this dumb class... sigh... and one stupid kid shouted 'IT'S GAMESS' to which teacher..

"CLASS!!! SILENCE"

Everyone stood on their position, in silence, with a sad face. Because they could guess what was about to hit them

"As you all know, our syllabus is behind the pace. As you know we needed to pick things up to ensure we have covered up everything before the exams. So this period, I'll be taking over and warping the things up"

Some students tried to... protest against teacher? But they stood no chance, because she is the teacher, and we the students, and of course we need to RESPECT THE TEACHER.

And then with a collective sigh, student sat down. 

Honestly, at this point I'm not even surprised. Now you know another reason why students hates her. Sigh...

That was a disaster, but I was able to survive this torture. I wanna go home and just sleep, fucking hibernate like a bear. Anyways, that was all about the school today, as I said, nothing interesting. And with that, school was over and students started to leave the class, they were practically running haha.

"So what you are you going to do now?" Arik asked, as we were standing. To which, I annoyingly said "I'm gonna jump" "huh?" "yeah from the 5th floor." To which Arik gave me the tight slap, on my... ass. sigh... 

"So you wanna pick up a fight? Of course mine is same as usual. Go to home, take a sleep, finish my work and then sleep again. And hope not to wake up tomorrow" 

"Same just replace noon sleep with playing"

"oh.. what you playing nowadays?" As you could tell, I, as a normal human being, asked a normal question. This innocent little man, me, was curious. But little did I know, that I was a FOOL.

"playing with... myself" Arik said, with a smirk, I legit wanted to kick his face real hard.

"Kill yourself"

"Damn you got some humor right there huh" from behind Arasp giving Arik a taunt. "yeah yeah" Arik, saying as he picks up his bag.

"Alright then, I'll be leaving now"

and I asked him "let's go together then"

"We were going to watch a movie. You wanna join? Me and Bhish, how about you two?" Arasp asking Arik and Me, but I just wanted to go home

"Nhh.. you go. I just wanna go home"

"o..k sir. Les get going then" Arasp saying to Bhish and then they left the classroom. And we too left the classroom right after that. On our way to the school exit gate, we encountered Reshya and Ryku, wish I could just spend more time with Ryku. Anyways, after giving them our goodbyes, we left the school. 

And in mid way, Arik and I too separated and head our own way, "aight bro." We then, shaking the hand, went our own ways.

Around like 4:00 PM, as I was getting near to the house, I could smell of something GOOD coming from my house direction. And damn it was...yum! So much that I ran to the house. And thereI saw Teeshi making something in the kitchen. I untied my shoes, put my bag aside and put the umbrella on its place. I went to the kitchen, I hugged Teeshi, giving her a surprise. To which she shocking shouted "AAAAA! BROTHER. At least make some sounds when you are in house. You scared me"

To which, only thing that I could do, was laugh, because it was little funny, I mean when it is not funny to see her scared like that. "Anyway, what you makin'! It smells really good"

She, turned away with a angered face "I'm not telling"

"Come on, tell meeee!!" But she was now... angered.

"Where is mother? I can't see her" to which she again.. gave me an angered "HMPH" With that I left, honestly I was more than little tired. My legs were crying out loud, I ran today so much. So I just wanted to sleep.

So I went to my room. Changed my cloths and... then crashed out, completely exhausted. 

"Ishan. Ishan wake up." I heard my mother waking me up, as she shook me. "hmm? What time it is?" I was sleepy as fuck. I don't think I will be going school tomorrow. Fuck my legs are still hurting. "It's 7 in the evening already. Wake up now. Come down stairs and wash your face. I want you to bring some things from the store" To which I nodded and just said "hmm" 

Well then, I went down, and then got a paper list in which all the items were written. And I, who was practically still sleeping, got up and was now on my way to get all the items. I got to the store, which was about at the distance of 30 minutes from my house. Picked up all the items I needed. And on my way home...

I was in the middle of the route, on the street and it was pretty much empty. And from the front, I saw a man, who was coming in my direction. And he was wearing a black--ish hood. And when I saw him, I remembered the time when Arasp today told me about a suspicious man who also was wearing a hood. 

As I was thinking about that, I saw Arasp and Bhish coming in my direction from other side. 

And I waved in their direction, in order to grab their attention. "ARASP! Over HERE" And I caught their attention, and they were heading towards me now, they picked up the pace and started walking a little quicker. And from the other side, the other guy was also coming towards me.

And as the Arasp and the guy were 10 meters away from me, I saw the guy's lips move. With a smile, and I heard something along the lines of "oh.. so there you are.." with a smirk, and his hood were still covering up his upper face.

And from the other side, Arasp and Bhish stood there, in shock, like they've seen a ghost. They were... terrified of this man's presence to say the least. And, I, who was curious about their reaction. Turn to the man's direction, but, the man who was at least 10 meters away, a seconds ago, was on practically standing on my face, and in that moment, Bhish pushed him away, who was also at least 10 meters away from me. I didn't knew what was happening there, it was as if I'm watching a fantasy movie where people were covering long distances in a quick flashes. And, confused, terrified me, looked at the direction of Arasp, who was standing right behind Bhish. And what I saw... scared me. It was like a vertical eye on the neck of Arasp... I then fell down, my legs gave up, they were already in pain. 

To me what looked like Bhish and Arasp knew something that I did not... And they are trying to protect me from this man. And then I looked at Bhish, who was terrified, holding his guard position. Bhish then proceeds to says "Rebi! We... are late..." I looked around me, and there was nobody around me other than 3 of us and the mysterious man. And it finally made sense, Bhish was referring to Arasp as... Rebi.

"Wha- What should we do now? Should we start the ritua-"

As Arasp was saying this, the man came to me, in an instance, Bhish then again parries him, and pushes him away, with a blow. A shock-wave erupted. My ears were hurting now.

"I think.. I-" the mysterious man, saying that... looks up at the sky, taking a deep breath, "sigh... I think I'm about to lose my mind. Master..."

"REBI! TAKE ISHAN WITH YOU AND RUNN!" Bhish, shouting, as if they are about to die. Charging up. A Red-Bright yellow flame, were all over the place, And I- I wasn't able to breath.

And it looked like Bhish collected all the flame, making a arrow type object in air, it was looking gigantic, entire sky was red, it looked like a thunder storm.

"TAKE THI-" Bhish, yelling at the mysterious man. As the arrow type structure approached, the man. It was quick, in an instance. But on the other hand, Arasp, terrified, shouting, "YALKA NOO! DONT DO THAT" Bhish confused, looking at Arasp...

"You don't get it... Do you now.. Very well then." I heard, or should I say, all could I do was read the man's lips.

"Flummoxed. Returns."

And, the next moment, after I saw the man finished saying those words, as if wizards from fantasy movies were casting a spell, I heard the screams, but it was from Arasp. I looked back, and the arrow, that was released by Bhish, was coming out of the Arasp's neck, piercing the eye on the neck. And Bhish, confused, shouted "HO- H- HOW DID THAT HAPPENED. I SAW HIM GETTING SHOTTT. I SAW WITH MY VERY OWN EYES YOU! YOUU TAKING THE LETHAL HIT! WHAT DID YOU DO TO REBI. WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME?!"

"I? I did nothing. It was your attack that killed Arasp. Or did you forgot that too. Yalka..." Bhish, after hearing those words from the man, terrified, came to me, it looked like he was about to pick me up. It was quick. I couldn't react to his speed. I was.. shivering in terror.

Bhish. Picks me up. And at the other side, standing there menacingly.

"Mind Permission. Oust."

As he finished his words, I lost all the control over my body, I wanted to move but I was not able to even blink. And it looked like same thing happened to Bhish, as he also straight fell down.

"Where... do you think you are going?"

Man.. proceeded to towards to us, with nothing but a smile on his face. I didn't know what is going on. I- I was terrified as fuck. I was scared after seeing this much blood again. I wanted to cry. I was in pain. My chest, My leg, My hands.. were all in pain. It was hurting really bad. But I- I wasn't even able to cry, I was practically a DEAD BODY.

He then, after reaching Bhish, his right hand, was now covered with black and white flame. It wasn't a color similar to grey, no, it had distinct whites and blacks in the flame. He then, grabbing Bhish's neck. Pierces the neck, and removing the eye ball from his neck. And burns it. Now Arasp and Bhish were laying down on the street. Looking dead.

Man then comes to me, "Don't worry. They are not dead." when he said that, It gave me chills. It was like he could read my mind.

" They are now normal. As you can see that I've destroyed the vertical eyes that were on their neck. Now when they wake up, they will normal. And that's all you need to know right now"

I said "what do you mean" in my mind, thinking it was just a mere coincidence. To which the man replied "I meant what I said. They are now normal now."

"Alright. Now it's your turn." I'm not sure what happened there, but he hit me on the back of the neck and I lost my consciousness.

And when I woke up.. I was at the roof top of my house. It felt like my hands were tied up. But there were nothing on my hands. And I saw the man, who was sitting in front of me, some distance away from me, one leg stretched out, foot turned casually to the side while his other leg was resting effortlessly over it. His right hand was on his knee while the other hand... had my umbrella. The way he was starring at me, as if he was waiting for me to wake up. His gaze was sharp, yet cold.

And all that I could think of was "wha- what is going on..."
