RBTC: Chapter 82

---

For the next month, Buggy's first step was to announce the treatment of the two-thirds of the villagers.

When these people heard Buggy's decision about them, no one objected. Instead, their expressions relaxed, and some even had relieved smiles on their faces.

Of course, Buggy also threatened them and appointed Reno as the captain of the suicide squad.

The threats were mainly that they had to obey Reno's orders and couldn't harm the villagers on the island. The first time they encountered danger on the island, they had to step forward, even if it meant risking their lives. If they didn't do this and organized to rebel against Reno, even if they escaped the island and fled to the ends of the earth, once Buggy and his crew learned of this, they would pursue them to the ends of the earth, no matter the cost, until they were dead.

For most of the remaining time, Reno was put through special training. First, there was physical training, similar to the training that Kuro and the others had undergone before. It was mainly about physical strength and techniques.

In terms of physical strength, Reno made significant progress. Perhaps it was because he had suffered hardship in the past, or perhaps it was because of his longing for strength, or maybe it was because of his intelligence that surpassed that of his peers.

He was very enthusiastic about training and could endure hardship. No matter how Buggy trained him, he didn't complain at all. Instead, he devoted 100% of his energy and enthusiasm to training.

He would exhaust all his strength in each training session, until he couldn't even crawl, before ending the day's training.

This perseverance moved Buggy. He also felt a sense of cherishing talent and wholeheartedly taught him. If he hadn't already arranged for him, Buggy would have wanted to take him away. But he was more needed here. Buggy ultimately gave up this decision. The rest was up to fate. Perhaps they would have a chance to meet again in the future.

He also taught him some other aspects, but not much. Reno's current physique couldn't learn the more advanced techniques of the Rokushiki. Buggy only taught him some basic martial arts and some basic swordsmanship.

Although he didn't teach him those advanced techniques, and he wouldn't be able to learn them even if he did, Buggy left behind the methods of practicing the Rokushiki, as well as his insights on Haki and swordsmanship. He left him a path to becoming strong.

Over the next month, he made significant progress. Although he hadn't reached superhuman levels, he could fight a group of people by himself against the ordinary villagers on this island. Buggy was sure that his current strength could intimidate the villagers of the suicide squad.

Time flew by during training. Buggy had taught Reno for a month. This was the longest time Buggy could stay here. He had to leave.

On the last night before leaving, Reno found Buggy and expressed his hidden thoughts and struggles. They also made an agreement. The next day, Buggy and his crew boarded the Glory and bid farewell to Reno and this island full of humanity.

After bidding farewell to Reno, they continued their journey. For the first two days, it was the same as before when they were sailing on the sea. It was ordinary and monotonous, except for the weather. There were many deserted islands on the sea, with no sign of human life.

On the third day, however, there was a different scene. A large expanse of fog appeared in front of them, blocking their path.

As soon as they sailed into it, they couldn't see their hand in front of their face in the fog. They couldn't see anything. Even the Log Pose seemed to have lost its function. It remained silent and unresponsive.

Seeing this situation, everyone realized that something was amiss. They might have come to a special area, a place as dangerous as the Florian Triangle that Luffy had passed through, a place shrouded in fog.

This kind of environment was very dangerous. If they couldn't find their way out, they might be permanently trapped in this fog. Brook's Rumbar Pirates had suffered misfortune because of this. They were trapped in the fog.

"Captain, we can't go any further. Let's go back along the original route and find another way out."

They had encountered this situation as soon as they entered. If they continued sailing, they might really encounter danger. They might not even be able to get out. And now, they had just entered this foggy area. If they retreated and found another route to continue sailing, they might not be in any danger.

Kuro's words made sense, but Buggy had to consider it. These routes were fixed. There was no such thing as retreating. If they didn't sail forward, retreating would mean going back to Reverse Mountain and finding other routes.

This would be too troublesome. And the consequences of doing so, although they wouldn't be obvious, would have a negative effect.

Because if they encountered danger and chose to escape, it would unconsciously plant a seed in the crew's minds. If they encountered danger in the future, they would also make this choice. What was the point of such a journey? And for Buggy, it would be equivalent to failure. It would be like quitting the Grand Line and returning to the Four Blues.

Considering all this and thinking about the outcome, Buggy made his decision. He looked at everyone. Everyone was also looking at him. He spoke solemnly, "We've already set sail. There's no reason to retreat. No matter what danger we encounter ahead, we have to try it. If there's any danger to life, I will ensure your safety until I fall."

Buggy didn't want to retreat. He wouldn't retreat. Even if it cost him his life, he wouldn't retreat.

But he also had to comfort his crew. After all, it was normal for them to have this mentality. They were still young. It was normal for them to have these thoughts when they encountered difficulties.

Everyone heard Buggy's words. They all felt his determination and his care. Everyone's eyes were filled with fire. Everyone also made up their minds. Under Buggy's gaze, everyone nodded in agreement.

Since everyone agreed, the Glory continued to sail forward. They didn't discover anything in the fog on the first day. It was a white blur everywhere. They couldn't see their hand in front of their face.

The second day was the same. On the third day, as the day was about to end, they suddenly discovered that the fog ahead was getting thinner. A small black dot could be vaguely seen in the sea in the distance.

Seeing this situation, everyone's confused eyes regained their spirit. They carefully observed the black dot ahead. They judged that either they had already left the fog or there was an island ahead. But they were still in the fog. It was an island in the fog.

Without hesitation, they found their target. Everyone sped up their journey and quickly headed towards the island ahead.
