RONALD'S POV.

I stepped out of the conference room, feeling exhausted.Sitting in meetings like this were so draining, I had spoken to the investor and tried every ways to make him have a change of mind from his previous decision.

But I refused to give up. I had seated up and made sure that I would lose this esteemed investor to another. I hate to lose. And at the end, I was able to win them over, I'd seen the investor's face shift, his expression softening into a nod of agreement. Adrenaline rushed through my veins as I stepped out of the room with an expression of victory etched on my face.

On my way back to my hotel room, I felt a sense of suspicion crept over me. How did our competitor, Racoon Inc, know about our plans to partner with this investor? Only the strategic team which comprises few people know about this within the company.
