The look on his face was what she couldn't seem to understand. Earlier he looked fine and all of a sudden he looks like he's just seen a ghost.
Stay out of this Caro, it's none of your business.
The more she stared at him, the more her control slipped. She tried to stuff her mouth with food but she felt like she was going to burst.
Fuck!
"Are you okay?" Her hormones failed her again and it didn't seem like it was going to stop anytime soon. It is going to go on and on until it messes things up for her. It is in control now and there is no way it won't embarrass her before it stops.
"You look like you have seen a ghost". She laughed nervously as his brows rose to her words.
Fuck!
It's not stopping.
"And that's just ridiculous because there are no ghosts here, am I right?" She snorted as she laughed hard.
There, it has finally succeeded.
It has embarrassed her.
He only looked at her. If that was a joke, it had to be a terrible joke because it wasn't funny at all.
She really doesn't know that there is something greater than a ghost in the house. Someone rather.
"How's the meal? I trust you like it?" He avoided the question.
He didn't want to tell her what Nolan said. She doesn't even know that there is someone like Nolan in the house. She is probably still at ease because she hadn't seen him. If she knows that someone like Nolan is in the house, she wouldn't be smiling. He can tell that she is nervous by his presence, but if Nolan was here, she would be terrified. She wouldn't even stay for breakfast.
She's not stupid to not know when someone is avoiding a question. He probably doesn't want to tell her what the problem was for some reason and she respects that. After all, she's a nobody to him. They basically just met a few hours ago, she can't expect him to just suddenly trust her with his problems. You build trust with time and patience, no matter how long it takes. She is just going to go on with the flow and let it slide.
"Yeah it's great, come have some, you'll like it". She is nice and naive.
Nolan will hate her more.
He managed a faint smile as he spoke with a hint of sarcasm in his tone. "Wouldn't that be inconvenient for the both of us?"
She smiled with her eyes as she looked at him. "I don't mind".
Her eyes sparkled as she kept staring at him. Once again her hormones were protruding from inside her. They want to explode. She shoved a teaspoon of pudding in her mouth as she tried to stuff her face with the pancake to avoid embarrassing herself, but she literally just did the exact opposite of what she did not want. She just embarrassed herself.
Scorpion's eyes widened at the scene in front of him. How the hell did that get into her mouth?
"I better leave you to it". He managed, exiting the room.

Nolan lay amid heat as he let the warm water work its way to all the tensed muscles. His eyes were shut as he absorbed the vanilla scent that filled the entire bathroom. The classical instrument that played slowly in the room added to the ease he felt. He was now in relaxed mode. He didn't think of anything else, his mind was blank. He only felt the warm water on his skin as it soothed his body. He was calm and his breath was steady.
He stayed in that mood for hours as he finally got up and grabbed a robe that was hunged in the golden robe rack. He walked out of the bathroom, tied the robe, and took slow strides into his closet.
A few minutes later he came out with black Nike joggers. He wondered if Scorpion had done what he asked him to do earlier. He clearly told him to make sure the weird lady was gone. He didn't even want to see her at all. He sat down on the sofa in the center of his room as he opened his laptop and realized that he hadn't had breakfast

Downstairs,
Carolyn was full, she had stuffed herself to her limit but she kept eating to forget about the embarrassment. Things were going well until she messed up by eating like a possessed chicken all in the name of avoiding embarrassing herself.
She sighed.
He was disgusted.
She sat alone in the large room cursing herself as she gulped the full glass of fresh chilled orange juice, emptying the glass.
Why do you keep doing this Caro?

In the same minute,
A red Lamborghini Sesto Elemento arrived in front of the mansion as one of the bodyguards that stood in front of the house opened the door and she stepped out.
He took the keys from her, entered the car, and drove it to the garage while the others greeted her with a bow.
"Welcome, ma'am". She didn't even look at them, she just walked elegantly into the mansion. She didn't care less about their greeting, all she cared about was getting into the house and seeing for herself if Nolan was really in the country as the rumors entailed. She wanted to see for herself if her cousin was really back.
It had been years already. Everyone is fucking worried. He didn't even send a single message to assure them that he was fine. Sasha was nervous, she was curious, and she just wanted to see his face as she walked into the house. It was quiet and very large. It was as if nobody stayed in the house. Of course, Nolan loves peace but this was just creepy.
She didn't even know where to start because there were different rooms and doors everywhere. There was an elevator on the left, and a stairway on the right. She couldn't decide.
Fuck it.
She started walking towards the door far from the other end and it opened before she even walked in.
The room was indeed large. Her eyes strolled around. She was blown away. Yes, she is very wealthy, but Nolan's wealth was immeasurable.
It is a dining room.
Her eyes strolled from the large chandelier that hung above the large table to the figure that was looking very tiny because of the largeness of the room.
Someone is there.
She took a few more steps closer.
A lady?
