It was an hour’s drive from Beijing to Pinggu District, and at last, Shen Zeming arrived, greeted by the breathtaking scenery of Jinhai Lake: a vast, glittering expanse of water embraced by emerald hills.
His gaze lingered on the tranquil lake, his thoughts swirling and blending with the shimmering surface, until finally, they settled on an empty plot of land in his mind.
“We have arrived, Young Master,” the bodyguard announced, opening the door of the black SUV. Shen Zeming stepped out, welcomed by the crisp, rejuvenating sweetness of the air. In the distance, the hazy silhouette of the Yan Mountains added depth to the picturesque view.
“This is nice,” Shen Zeming remarked. By now, he had discarded his blood-stained light blue blazer, leaving him in just the white dress shirt underneath.
“So, this is the land priced at less than 100 million?” he asked nonchalantly as one of the bodyguards handed him a stack of papers matching the steel “Land for Sale” sign planted nearby.
