Waking from her hangover was no pleasant experience. Lina clutched her throbbing head, then opened her eyes to find Daisy standing guard by her bed. The girl's new attire made Lina hesitate for a moment, guessing that in her absence, Sophia must have been taking good care of Daisy.
Daisy, who had been dozing lightly, woke with a jolt. Seeing Lina stir, her eyes brimmed with relief. "Miss Lina!"
"I'm home," Lina replied.
Daisy's eyes turned red with emotion. "I'm just so glad you've returned."
"She's been anxious for your news this entire time," came a warm, teasing voice. Sophia stepped in from the doorway, gently taking Lina's hand. "Does your head still hurt?"
Lina sat up slowly, finding that her headache was subsiding. She shook her head and thanked her elder sister. "Thank you for bringing me back."
Sophia lifted a sleeve, hiding a small laugh. "Who said it was I who brought you home?"
