On a moonless, windy night, Lina Riley stealthily made her way to the Hall of Serenity. It seemed she had arrived too early; The Princess Royal was nowhere to be found.
Truth be told, Lina breathed a sigh of relief. She began wandering around the hall. Because The Princess Royal rarely stayed there, the place was sparsely furnished—almost as if she treated it like an inn.
In one corner of the room stood a large sandalwood bookshelf, the books arranged neatly, mostly histories, military strategy, and biographies. Lina thought about reading them but quickly dismissed the idea as intrusive; a sense of propriety made her give up. So she settled into a chair in the middle of the hall. Yet once she sat down, her thoughts grew chaotic, and she tapped her head in frustration.
Hearing footsteps, Lina straightened her back and looked toward the door. Sure enough, it was The Princess Royal.
"Your Highness."
