For the time being, the merchant caravan could not proceed, as all its goods had been confiscated by the local authorities. Lina Riley and her companions bid the caravan farewell and continued on their way alone.
After traveling some distance, they suddenly heard the sound of hooves, followed by Lynette Sparrow's voice drawing nearer.
"Stop right there!"
Lina turned. She had a somewhat favorable impression of this distant relative, thinking that if she returned to the capital one day, she would find a reason to become better acquainted.
Pulling her horse to a stop before Lina, Lynette Sparrow searched through her sleeve for a moment and then leaned down to place a pouch of silver coins in Lina's hand. "You're heading a long way. What I gave you before likely won't be enough. The Kingdom of Northwind isn't a nice place. If you find somewhere good, stay in The Kingdom of Ravenwell instead."
