Adira led the way, her blade glowing faintly as if it, too, felt the unnatural energy. Her companions followed in silence, their expressions a mix of determination and dread. The path beneath them was uneven, shifting with each step as though the Rift resisted their presence.
"Anyone else feel like we're walking into the mouth of something that really doesn't want us here?" Kane muttered, his voice laced with dark humor.
