Fozu blinked, still puzzled about why Jack had suddenly shouted like that. Before he could fully grasp the situation, Jack had already leapt high off the deck, drawing the massive fang-shaped weapon from his waist and bringing it crashing down.
"Soru!"
BOOM!
"Huh?"
In the blink of an eye, even the announcer on the high platform hadn't reacted. Fozu had already appeared behind Jack, dagger in hand, stabbing down with ruthless precision.
Unfortunately for Fozu, the moment his blade made contact with Jack's skin, he was met with an overwhelming resistance. The blade barely dented Jack's tough hide. Realizing the futility, Fozu quickly retracted his dagger and darted to the side.
"Rokushiki, huh?" Jack turned, his face expressionless as he regarded Fozu. Techniques like Rokushiki were nothing new to Jack.
Back when he dealt with that pigeon guy and the chicken-brained ones, Jack had crossed paths with many Marines—some of them masters of Rokushiki. Their unpredictable movements and techniques, like cutting with air blades and firing compressed air bullets, had left a lasting impression on him.
Still, even though Jack had captured many Marines and obtained some training manuals for Rokushiki, he had never actually practiced it himself.
Why? Because mastering Rokushiki required far too much time. The intricate techniques demanded years of rigorous training, time that Jack couldn't spare.
Besides, many of those techniques could be achieved by other means for someone with immense strength. And with his system at hand, Jack was confident he could eventually gain similar skills without the grueling effort. Why waste time?
This, Jack thought, illustrated the fundamental difference between pirates and Marines. Marines had structured systems to nurture talent, while pirates were left to fend for themselves.
The perks of having an organization…
"Rankyaku!"
SLASH!
A slicing wind blade shot out from Fozu's kick, flying toward Jack. With a casual sweep of his kanabo, Jack swatted the air blade apart like it was nothing.
"Soru! Shigan!"
Fozu wasted no time, using his powerful tail to launch himself toward Jack's right flank. As Jack deflected the air blade, Fozu was already there, finger outstretched, stabbing fiercely.
"Tch…"
A sharp pain shot through Fozu's finger, and he winced in surprise. Unbeknownst to him, Jack had shifted into his hybrid form. Fozu's Shigan attack only left a small dent on Jack's coarse skin before it bounced back, the recoil nearly breaking his finger.
"What the hell is this guy…?" Fozu jumped back, shaking his hand as he cautiously studied Jack.
Now in his hybrid form, Jack loomed even larger than usual. Fozu estimated Jack's height to be at least ten meters—nearly as tall as some of the Marine Vice Admirals from the giant race.
Jack's usual diet and intense training, combined with his natural racial advantage, had already sculpted his body like a masterpiece. But now, his hybrid form made his muscles even more pronounced. Even under the rough, gray-brown elephant-like skin, every bulging muscle was sharply defined, exuding an oppressive aura.
Just looking at him sent a chill down Fozu's spine. He quickly abandoned the idea of using Shigan again.
"Oi! Didn't you say you wanted to be a All-Star?" Jack growled, swinging his kanabo lazily through the air. "What's the matter? Just gonna stand there? If you won't make a move, I will!"
Jack twirled his kanabo and gave it an experimental swing. As he did so, one of his teeth suddenly fell out and clattered to the ground. Without hesitation, Jack swung his weapon with full force, sending a shockwave rippling through the air.
Fozu's eyes widened in alarm.
SWISH!
BOOM!
"Ahhh! Doctor! Somebody help! Jack-sama's attack pierced the protective barriers and hit the audience!"
The announcer, pale and drenched in sweat, lowered his telescope and shouted, "If I'm not mistaken, that massive attack… was just a tooth?!"
Fozu's back was soaked with sweat as well. If not for his quick reflexes, he'd be dead by now.
"Tch, missed?" Jack clicked his tongue, disappointed. "Too bad… But let's see how many more times you can dodge."
More teeth began falling from Jack's mouth, only to regenerate almost instantly. Within moments, Jack's hand was full of sharp, glistening teeth.
The announcer's voice trembled as he shouted, "Everyone, evacuate! Get to higher ground! Jack-sama is on a rampage!"
The stronger pirates leapt to the higher stands, while the weaker ones cowered on the ground, clutching their heads.
Ignoring the chaos, Jack hurled the teeth into the air and focused his Observation Haki on Fozu.
"Hahaha! Found you!"
Jack raised his kanabo high.
BOOM!
With a thunderous swing, Jack struck most of the airborne teeth, sending them flying in all directions. His target was the ground on the far side of the arena, now obscured by a thick cloud of dust and debris. The audience held their breath, unsure of Fozu's fate.
Suddenly, a figure burst from the smoke, rushing toward Jack at breakneck speed.
"Tekkai!"
Fozu's jaws opened wide, his teeth gleaming as he lunged for Jack's neck.
But Jack, prepared this time, had been tracking Fozu's movements with Observation Haki. With a quick tilt of his head and a shift of his body, Jack's own massive jaws snapped open, meeting Fozu head-on.
The arena fell silent.
"Huh…?"
Even the announcer froze, his jaw hanging open as he stared in disbelief. The spectators were similarly dumbstruck.
Jack's mouth was so large that it completely engulfed half of Fozu's head.
The absurdity of the scene left everyone speechless.
"Blegh…!"
Jack recoiled, shoving Fozu away before crouching down and spitting furiously.
"Ptooey! Ptooey! Damn it!"
Fozu staggered back, his red head covering now full of bite marks and even a few embedded teeth. Despite the damage, he shuddered with excitement, realizing how close he'd come to being decapitated.
Jack, meanwhile, rushed to the arena's edge, dunking his head into the seawater to rinse his mouth. After several frantic gulps and spits, he straightened up, glaring at Fozu with pure rage.
"Oi, you bastard!" Jack bellowed. "How many days has it been since you washed your hair?!"
He grabbed his kanabo and charged forward. "I'll kill you for that, you filthy mutt!"
