Chapter 195: Miss Bakkin

The appearance of the Pluton had heightened security throughout Wano Country.

Tom eventually agreed to Kaido's request to repair the legendary battleship. However, after a detailed inspection, Tom discovered that the ship's internal damage was extensive, requiring rare materials and a significant amount of time to restore.

After some deliberation, Kaido decided to postpone the repairs. Instead, he ordered Tom to prioritize constructing a sea train to connect Ailen Island with Onigashima. The Pluton's restoration would wait until the sea train was complete.

Meanwhile, the waters of Wano beneath Onigashima became a restricted zone under the protection of the Beasts Pirates. Aladine and Willy, leading over a hundred Fish-Men, guarded the area in shifts. With their leisure paradise nearby, the task wasn't overly demanding.

For Jack, however, this period of inactivity had left him idle. He soon returned to his usual antics, burning through his stamina recklessly.

But one day, Kaido summoned him and handed him a few newspapers. Jack, scratching his head in confusion, opened them to take a closer look.

"The Navy's strongest generation... the three Marine Admirals?"

"Strategist Sengoku has been appointed Fleet Admiral?"

Jack, visibly puzzled, turned to Kaido.

"Kaido-san, what's the meaning of this? Do you want me to storm Marine Headquarters and teach them a lesson?"

"Shut up!" Kaido barked. "There's another page you haven't looked at yet. Read it carefully. That issue is incredibly rare—most copies have already been confiscated and banned!"

Jack obediently sifted through the stack and pulled out a single-page report.

"Former Marine Admiral Zephyr ambushed by pirates!"

"Zephyr's arm severed, nearly all cadets aboard killed!"

The article was brief, accompanied by two grainy photos. One showed a heavily damaged Marine battleship, its hull wreathed in smoke. Two silhouettes, one large and one small, could be seen disembarking. Jack squinted at the image, then turned back to Kaido, bewildered.

"Kaido-san, are you saying you want me to kill this Zephyr guy?"

Kaido stood up, snatched the paper from Jack's hands, and pointed at the two figures.

"What I want is…" Kaido's voice turned ominous.

"You're going to bring those two back to me!"

Jack froze.

"Uh... Kaido-san, you can barely make out their clothes in the picture. How am I supposed to know who they are or where to find them?"

Kaido interrupted, a smug grin spreading across his face.

"Don't worry about that. I've already tracked their location."

"Thanks to our friends in the underworld…" Kaido's eyes gleamed.

"Jack! The man doesn't matter. Kill him if you want. But the woman—she must be brought back alive. She's crucial to me. Remember, alive! Her name is Buckingham Stussy. You can call her Miss Bakkin—don't get it wrong!"

Kaido handed Jack a Log Pose.

"They're on an island near Dressrosa. Head there first—Joke will give you the Eternal Pose to the island."

Still processing the details, Jack stumbled out of Kaido's room, his mind racing.

What the hell?! Bring back a woman alive and kill the man?

Could it be… this is about Yamato's mother and her lover running away? Did Kaido-san finally track them down?

No wonder Kaido-san never mentioned Yamato's mother. Turns out…

Jack shook his head.

Kaido-san, so you've been a victim of love too, huh?

Don't worry! I'll handle this perfectly!

"Hey, Jack, what're you doing? Get over here!" Yamato's voice called out.

"I want to ride the elephant again!"

Jack's eye twitched as he looked at Yamato's flushed face. Picking her up, he spoke softly, "Calm down. Don't mess around."

"Where are you going?!" Yamato demanded, eyes sparkling with curiosity.

Jack sighed.

"I'm off to find your mom."

Yamato froze.

"Huh?"

"Ask your dad if you've got questions." Jack grumbled, walking off.

A moment later, he heard a roar of anger behind him. Yamato, carrying her kanabo, was charging back at him. Jack decided it was better to make a run for it.

Kaido-san, you've really had it rough! Abandoned by your wife, misunderstood by your daughter…

Once Jack boarded the Mammoth and set sail with Finder and the others, he heard a deafening boom. The Mammoth shot forward like an arrow, its speed greatly enhanced thanks to Tom's modifications.

In just two months, they reached Dressrosa.

"Hey!" Jack greeted Doflamingo with a smirk, eyeing his flashy outfit. "Your fashion sense keeps getting wilder!"

Doflamingo, already waiting at the port, chuckled. As a Warlord of the Sea with his own territory, the Donquixote Family could now openly trade with the Beasts Pirates without fearing World Government interference.

After exchanging a few words, Jack quickly got to the point, obtaining the Eternal Pose to the island. The two pirates parted ways, but not before Doflamingo issued a warning:

"Jack, be careful. That guy's strength is no joke."

Doflamingo's expression was grim, as though recalling an unpleasant encounter.

Jack laughed it off.

"Don't worry. Someone capable of pulling this off must have some skill. But no one messes with another man's family and gets away with it!"

With that, Jack leapt onto his ship, leaving Doflamingo standing there, baffled.

Following the Eternal Pose, it took only a week for the Mammoth to reach its destination. The crew arrived at a small island with a modest port, suggesting a human settlement.

But when Jack ventured into the town, he found only corpses and terrified survivors pleading for mercy.

A towering man, nearly as large as Kaido, was swinging a massive naginata, slaughtering indiscriminately. Townsfolk attempted to fight back, but they were hopelessly outmatched. Their screams fueled the man's frenzy, and the flames engulfing the town seemed to mirror his brutality.

So… this is Kaido-san's romantic rival? Jack thought, sizing up the man's hulking figure, stubby legs, and rotund belly. Kaido-san, how did you lose to this guy?

And where's my future mother-in-law?

"Hand over every last belly, or die!" the man bellowed.

"Too late for regrets now! This is what happens when you cross Miss Bakkin!"

Jack's ears perked up. The voice was nearby, but… where was she?

After scanning the area, Jack finally spotted Bakkin. He froze.

A tiny woman stood before him, barely taller than a dwarf.

This… this is my future mother-in-law?!

Kaido-san… you…
