Expanding The Village

 "What brought about the change of heart?" the man sighed, his gaze as cold as ice as he spread out his hands, "It is only a matter of time before everything here becomes hers."

 "I nearly died doing your dirty work." Aurora pointed at him, her gaze burning with a fierce flame, "and you dared send spies to monitor me? Those birds— I had seen them all."

 The man sighed, turning to the side, then back to Aurora, "You did not accept our gift even though we said it'd be important out there. Whose fault is it that you nearly died?"

 "A gift?!" Aurora aimed her hand at the man, releasing a searing turret of flames into his face. Seeing him duck to the side, she quickly aimed and hurled her dagger at his head.

 After letting out a sharp cry with the knife lodged into his head, he raised his hands to the ceiling, then swung them down. A pillar of fire collapsed from the ceiling on the room.
