CHAPTER 37: FIGHT

"What has that got to do with me?" Wallace asked, looking at him.

"We maintain order on Earth when it comes to supernatural occurrences," Bruce said with a smile.

"So, are you here to take me in, or why did you call me here?" He asked.

"For now, no," Bruce said, while Wallace squinted his eyes.

"We know everything about you. You were born in Ghana, and your father left you when you were little. Fast forward to before you gained your powers, your parents killed you by stabbing your heart. It was precisely your younger sister they sent, and you died. Due to some occurrence, you gained power. Your first fight, and the way you grew from a person who was not much stronger than a human till the person you are now, we've been watching you every step of the way. We know you even destroyed the S.H.I.E.L.D, and we know the identity of those after you, but those do not concern us," Bruce said.

"Please, take a seat," He said.

"I have things to do," Wallace answered.

"Let's get to the point, then," Bruce said.

"You are already interfering with the affairs of humans too much. You have left the range of humans, you are now a superhuman, so you have responsibilities that come with the powers you have," Bruce said.

"Responsibilities like which ones?" He asked.

"You are to leave everything you have here and come into space to assist us with dealing with various matters," Bruce said.

"So, what you are telling me is that I have to leave everything here since I gained powers and work with you people?" Wallace sneered as he asked.

"Hmm, you gained those powers for a reason, and the reason is here," Bruce said.

"Don't you think you are being too arrogant? Do you even know how I gained it? Do you know what I went through during my death for you to say this nonsense? I'm not joining you people, and I will do things my own way," He answered.

"How dare you!" A shout was heard, as Wallace's sense tingled. He raised his hand up; two holes opened up in his hand with lasers piercing through his chest.

"Boom, Bang!" He felt as if a truck had collided with his body, as he crashed into the wall of the hall and rebounded back.

"Poof!" He spat a mouthful of blood out.

"Boss!" Laura, Lucia, and Antonio shouted at the same time.

"Clark, why the hell will you do that?" Bruce's voice was heard.

"I hate his arrogant voice; he is one of those who just want to utilize power without the responsibilities," the man who attacked said.

"How dare you!" Laura shouted out, and the temperature of the room plunged. The whole place felt cold, even to the extent that icicles began to form in the air.

"Die!" She shouted, as with a boom, she arrived in front of Clark and "Boom" hit his chest, and the guy took three steps back.

Angrily, his eyes turned red, as lasers pierced out from his eyes. Laura already predicted it, and an ice shield formed on her hand, blocking the laser, but the ice soon melted.

"Bang!" A fist clashed with his head, and his head tilted to the side; it was from Lucia.

"Bang!" Antonio hit his head, and his head tilted to the other side.

"Stop!" A lady rushed towards them to separate the fight.

"Bang!" His fist clashed with the latter's body, ripping apart her cloth, revealing the costume underneath. She was Wonder Woman.

"How dare you!" Clark screamed out.

Another fight wanted to break out when the air suddenly chilled. They all turned towards the source of the coldness, and they saw Wallace, who already collapsed on the floor, standing up.

Ink-like dark armor manifested on his body, as his eyes turned dark.

"How dare you, motherfucker!" Wallace screamed out, and the waves generated from his voice hit the room, and the walls that had been fortified all shook, as cracks spread out from all parts of the wall. The tables and chairs around were all upturned, as the weaker members were thrown away, including even Batman.

The only people standing at the end were Clark, Wonder Woman, a girl he recognized as Supergirl, another guy wearing the costume of Shazam, Cyborg, and Aquaman.

Clark slowly levitated into the air, as he looked down on Wallace.

"Let's all calm down," Aquaman tried to settle it, but

"Boom!" At a speed that caused the air around him to solidify and shatter due to pressure, Wallace had already arrived in front of Clark.

"Boom!" Two fists collided, as the two were thrown back, as the air blast generated from the two fists shattered all the windows, and the building itself started to crumble.

Wallace was thrown into the ground, while Clark himself was thrown far into the air.

"Poof!" They both spat a mouthful of blood out, as Wallace stood, while Clark, unable to control himself, fell back to the ground. Debris rose up from where he landed.

With dark eyes swirling like a bottomless abyss that could suck any soul into it, Wallace slowly walked towards the latter, as a long sword slowly manifested in his hand. Clark felt a shadow of death envelop him, as they saw the dark ink-like energy roaring around the sword. Everyone watching the sword felt as if they heard eerie screams coming out from the sword.

"No!" A guy with long hair reaching his shoulder, wearing scale armor and holding a trident in his hand, stopped in front of Wallace.

"Don't let's do this, Clark sometimes has explosive anger. Don't kill him, as Earth will lose one of its main fighting forces," the man pleaded.

"Get out!" Wallace said. Water slowly appeared out of thin air and surrounded the man.

"Please, don't let's do this," he said. The man saw something he had never thought of, as he saw the water he had supreme control over leave his command and rotate around Wallace.

Wallace clenched his left fist, and "Bang!" the man was punched away. Clark already stood up and raised his hands up into the air, and

"Boom!" he took off. Wallace looked at the guy taking off, he turned to the three staying at the corner.

"Let's go," he said.

"I will pay a visit another time." The sword and armor dissipated, as he made his way outside.

Wallace got into the backseat of the car, Laura sat beside him.

"Poof!" He spat a mouthful of blood out. He was severely injured; he wanted to chase after the latter, but his body could not hold it anymore.

He was a bit careless, as he did not use his clairvoyant ability earlier, allowing the ambush on him to be successful. The ambush dislocated his bones and shifted his organs. He then pushed himself to use his power and aggravated the injuries.

"Are you okay, boss?" Laura asked with concern.

"Don't worry, I'm just a little bit injured. I'll be fine after a moment of rest," He answered.

"Let me just rest my head a little," he said, as he placed his head on her shoulder, and soon he drifted into sleep.

The sky darkened, and the mental demons arrived again. Wallace woke up, as he heard the eerie and gloomy voices that only he could hear. His body was aching immensely, but he could not do anything.

"Where are we?" He asked.

"Just got home," Laura answered.

"We will meet tomorrow," He said, and staggered to his apartment. He entered and took off his shirt; there were two visible holes on his body, and his whole body was red, as if blood was rushing against his skin.

He took out a cigarette and started to smoke it, as he took out his laptop and started to type away, ignoring the pain.

*************************$$*$$*

The members of the Earth Justice Federation (E.J.F) already left the dilapidated mansion and were in one of their secret places. The atmosphere was gloomy, as they all had different amounts of injuries. Aquaman was in a wheelchair, while Superman himself was leaning against one of the pillars. Only Aquaman and Shazam looked okay.

The others all sat down, leaning against the chairs. "Why will you do that?" Bruce shouted at Clark.

"I'm sorry; I just couldn't bear his arrogant face," Clark answered.

"Could not bear it, and now we've lost what could have been one of our pillars," Bruce said.

"The guy is very dangerous. Haven't you seen it? Since he got his powers till now, it has been only so short, and his powers have increased to such an extent," Clark said.

"Before he grows into a menace, let's just kill him. I can still hold him back. With all of us, he can't do anything. He was also injured due to my punch," Clark said.

The whole place was silent for some seconds. "We can't make a move yet unless we are sure that he is a menace, and we are sure of bringing him down," Bruce said.

"Let's retire for the day," he said, and left.
