64. Take Over Siblings

Mirajane, Elfman, and Lisanna. The 3 Strauss siblings have finally joined Fairy Tail after their parents died. More main characters have joined Fairy Tail now as they get closer to the main story timeline.

When the Strauss siblings appear, everyone in the Guild wonders if they have a familial connection with Alex. After all, the 4 of them have silver hair and use Take Over Magic. The only difference is Alex has dark skin while they have fair skin.

"Maybe you are relatives?" Cana asks while looking back and forth between the siblings and Alex.

"I don't think we are related at all." Alex disagrees right away because it shouldn't be the case at all.

"How do you know? Maybe one of your unknown parents is their relative." Gray thinks that there is a possibility.

"Well, maybe if you retract the family line to hundreds or thousands of years ago, then I'm sure that we are related. I will be related to not only them, but everyone in this Guild too if we do that." Alex's argument makes a lot of sense.

Anyway, there's no proof that they are related, so everyone stops thinking about it quickly. Though they are very curious about the siblings' Take Over Magic. They want to know how it is compared to Alex because he is the only Take Over Mage in their Guild so far.

"Is this really necessary?" Mira seems displeased as she asks Makarov.

Alex has expected this, but she really is rude. She will change after Lisanna's "death", but for now, she is a rude girl. Though Alex can see that she actually only acts like a tough girl.

All because she wants to protect her younger siblings as their oldest sister. Maybe she was worried they would be looked down on or maybe they had a bad experience before joining Fairy Tail that made her think she needs to act tough to protect them.

"Yes, it is necessary for us to know your power and abilities so we can assign the correct jobs for you. Like we can't send a Fire Mage to do a job that requires Water magic, something like that." Makarov answers while walking toward the training field and gesturing for them to follow him.

Everyone follows them to the training ground to look at the newbies' abilities. Makarov asks Alex to be their opponent instead of doing it himself. The old man also wants to know how good their magic is compared to Alex.

Alex sighs before standing on the opposite side of the siblings. "You can attack me together or one by one. Though I think it's more effective to see your abilities if you attack me one by one."

"Tsk! You are looking down on us." Mira doesn't like how Alex thinks he can take them all at once even though he doesn't even seem older than her.

"Well, you and your sister are shorter than me, so I need to look down on you, that's for sure." Alex smirks playfully.

He's just joking, but it sure pisses Mira. She really has a short fuse now, which really is a bad thing because she can get provoked very easily.

"I'll make you regret it." Mira says it angrily while transforming into her Satan Soul form.

Everyone is amazed by her transformation because they can sense that she has a great amount of magic power.

"I see, a transformation into a kind of demon, huh? Interesting." Alex acts as if he doesn't know anything before he transforms too.

Everyone thought he would transform into Matatabi because Mira seems to have great speed and agility in her Satan Soul form. They know that among all 3 of Alex's current forms, Matatabi is the fastest.

Surprisingly, he transforms into Isobu, an armored turtle. They don't understand why he chooses to be a turtle that is known to be slow. Though it has a very strong defense, so they think that Alex is trying to be defensive.

Mira also thinks that way. She smirks while saying she will break Alex's hard shells no matter how hard they are. But Lisanna tells Mira to be careful because she has a strange feeling about Alex's turtle form.

"That turtle is really strange. It even has 3 long tails. I've never seen anything like that before."

"Hmph! Don't worry, Lisanna. No matter how great the creature is, everything depends on the Mage's power and abilities to maximize the creature's potential." Mira doesn't think much of Lisanna's intuition.

She charges to attack the human-sized 3-tailed turtle. Mira tries to attack with her claws and legs first, but she can't damage Alex's hard shells with physical attacks at all. So she starts to use magic attacks.

A black magic circle appears in front of Mira and many big dark bullets are shot at Alex. Darkness element is really destructive, so the effects of those dark magic bullets are powerful. They create big explosions when they hit Alex.

Everyone waits for the smoke and dust to clear after the attack stops. Then when the area is cleared, everyone can see that Alex is still in his position. There's no damage on his body, not even a scratch caused by Mira's attack.

"An attack with good speed, power, and range. That's quite impressive. But I think experienced Mages will be able to see them and dodge before being hit. The bullets are also not that strong individually, so they won't cause much damage if only a few manage to hit your targets. Their trajectories are quite predictable, after all, so I won't be surprised if someone like Max can dodge them." Alex makes a commentary as if he is a magic spell reviewer.

"OI! WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY SOMEONE LIKE ME?" Max seems displeased that he is used as a reference like that. After all, he's sure he can't dodge any of those bullets.

Mira also seems displeased by how Alex really looks down on her magic attack. She wasn't planning on doing this before, but now she will use one of her strongest spells because Alex has really pissed her off.

Raising her hands, Mira creates a Dark Orb above her. It gets bigger and bigger. Everyone can sense the power behind that spell and they are very surprised by how strong it is. Mira is undoubtedly strong for her age and they think she can compete for S-Class promotion with her current power.

The big Dark Orb then gets compressed and Mira throws it at Alex. Makarov gets ready to protect everyone from Mira's attack's effect because he knows it will affect a wide area, engulfing everyone in this training ground.

Alex grins as the compressed Dark Orb flies toward him. It will hit him in a moment, but then his 3 Tails extend forward. He uses his Tails to receive the Dark Orb and then throws it to the sky before it explodes.

The dark orb creates a very big explosion that will surely affect the whole training ground if Alex didn't throw it away. It really is strong, but it seems to take a lot of Mira's magic power too because now she seems very tired.

"Very impressive, but you don't seem to have enough magic power to keep using it. You can even barely maintain your form, so I can't say that it's a good attack to use because it'll leave you powerless."

As Alex has thought, Mira can't maintain her transformation any longer. She will be a powerful S-Class in the future, but now, she is just an inexperienced Mage who still hasn't had that much magic power.

"I don't even need to attack you and you are already defeated. If this is a real battle, then I would've killed you now. You still have a lot of things to learn." Alex dispels his magic and returns to his human form.

Everyone is stunned by how this battle goes. Alex doesn't even need to attack his opponent and he wins the battle. He wins by provoking Mira to use all she has while he just defends.

"Power isn't everything in battles, newbie. Now, it's your turn, little brother." Alex tells Elfman to attack.

"B-but you've won, right?"

"What? The whole purpose of this match isn't to win, but to gauge your abilities. How can we know it if you don't show it too? So hurry up."

Elfman finally does as Alex says and attacks with his magic. However, the current Elfman still can only use partial transformation. He can only transform his arms into beasts' arms.

Alex doesn't even need to transform to fight Elfman too because his battle skills are still very sloppy. As for Lisanna, she can fully transform into animals, but she is even weaker than Elfman, so Alex doesn't need much effort to fight her.

Elfman and Lisanna can't defeat Alex who doesn't even use his magic. They really are newbies and still need a lot of things to learn. So obviously, Makarov can't give them difficult jobs. But there are many jobs they can use to develop themselves, so there's no need to worry.
