Chapter 25 Warning.

After spending a few hours, looking through the data logs, Andrew was unable to figure out how the intruder got to his station or even more importantly how the hell did they bypass all his sensors and drones.

He finally just gave up and decided to get the universal translator and get his answers then.

After taking a look at his prisoner and making sure that the alien would not be getting out of bed, any time soon, the human decided to get some rest.

Lately, he had more excitement than during his whole life on earth and it left him exhausted.

The next morning he checked the prisoner, and the alien was still unconscious, so he got on with his day.

After training, he went to the command center and the first order of business was to get the universal translator research going.

After this, he just added new targets for the drones and resumed the studies he had left the day before.

The resource gathering didn't slow down after Lan left, mainly because of the additional drones, but he was getting much more of the cheap materials now.

Not that he minded, since he used some of them to produce new drones and the component production module used them for the module parts.

Thinking about that he took a look at the process of making the parts for the modules he had ordered the day before.

It turned out that the first module parts would be completed within an hour and after that, the second set of parts would be created.

Andrew also added a few parts that he needed to repair the station and the damage to his beginning module was already fixed, but the solar power module would have to wait since the energy storage unit was much more complicated and time-consuming to make.

Another thing that he needed to do was to contact Lanarine and tell her to check her station as she didn't have the internal sensors upgrade installed.

-Lan Come in, please.

He said into his communicator after opening a channel.

-What do you want?

She asked, clearly not in a good mood.

-I want to warn you.

He said.

- I was boarded yesterday and would not even know it if not for the internal sensors, so you might want to check your station for intruders.

He quickly explained the situation.

-Are you alright, what happened with the intruder?

She asked quickly, clearly worried.

-I'm fine and the intruder is still alive but injured.

They had a hard time with the gravity on my station.

Andrew said and then told her the whole story.

-So you might want to go around your station to see if you don't have a stowaway on board.

His former slave was surprised that he didn't kill the intruder on the spot.

-Thank you for the warning.

She said, fully intending to do the sweep of her station.

Her opinion of him started to rise once again after it hit rock bottom when he destroyed the pirate ship.

-I also wanted to ask you, where are you planning to relocate your station to?

He asked.

-Why would you need to know that?

She was surprised by this sudden question.

-To be sure my drones don't go collecting the resources in your vicinity.

He had no intention of competing with her over resources when there was more than enough for both of them, even if he included the other station masters in the system.

-Oh, in that case, I think that somewhere between 60 and 100 thousand kilometers away from you, should be fine.

She shared the information.

-But I will be stopping shortly to gather some resources.

She quickly added.

-I see nothing wrong with that.

Andrew said.

-This is all I have for now if you feel like it, then update me if you have any intruders on board.

-I will, bye.

After she said that the communication channel went silent.

Andrew was amazed by how quickly her mood could change.

When she picked up the call she was angry, when she picked up his call, then worried, and just before she ended it she was almost friendly.

However, he decided not to dwell upon it too much.

Instead, he got back to his studies, with a short break he needed to start the research of the universal translator and to command the construction drones to assemble the drone recharging module and connect it to the station.

He got the information that the assembly would take 3 hours and 20 minutes to be finished.

With nothing better to do right now, he continued with his studies.

However, it wasn't long before he was interrupted again as the system informed him of movement being detected in the Medical module.

-I really need to get my hands on an A.I.

Andrew sighed, having more than enough of the different alerts generated by the system.

Since his captive had woken up he decided to go see the alien.

He only checked if his sidearm was loaded and went straight to the medical module.

After being boarded, he decided to keep the pistol on him at all times, not wanting to get caught unarmed, if there happened to be another incident like that.

This time he was lucky, but if there were ever a next time he might not have the time to arm himself.

The moment he entered the medical module the alien panicked and was clearly scared out of its mind as it started to struggle on the bed, despite the pain from its ribs and head.

-Stop it.

Andrew said, but it had no effect.

The alien didn't know what its captor said and was getting more and more panicked.

Seeing no other way, Andrew approached the bed and caught the struggling alien's face with his hand, forcing it to look at him.

-Stop moving around.

He said sternly.

To his surprise, it worked, and the prisoner stopped struggling immediately.

He had no idea why, but it was either too scared to move, or it finally figured out what he wanted to communicate.

Whatever the case, it worked.

Andrew didn't need a dead alien, he wanted it alive to answer his questions once he got the translator.

-#$@&*^$#%.

The alien said, but there was no way for the human to understand it.

Seeing his confusion the alien looked at the water bottle, standing on the table next to its bed.

Andrew quickly connected the dots and took the bottle, opening it and getting the straw on its cap close to the alien's mouth.

The alien didn't waste any time and took a few sips before coughing.

Then it fell on the bed, seemingly tired but now it was a bit more relaxed.

This simple action from Andrew made it realize that it might not get killed or tortured and the restraints were more or less understandable since she boarded the station without permission.

Remembering what happened, she felt lucky that she was even alive.

And that was the last thought before the exhaustion kicked in and she went to sleep before she even realized it.

Seeing the alien pass out again, Andrew went back to the command center and continued with his work.
