Aelita cut the thin metal tapes that bound the crate, and when they opened it, Andrew was shocked.
What he saw was not only a protective suit, but a space armor.
That was a tier-three item, his character in the game had one, but these were not meant for humans or even humanoids as their shape and size showed that they were made for some kind of six-legged centaur-like creature with a long flat head judging by the helmets.
-What are these?
Aelita asked, not recognizing it.
-These are space armor, they are at the minimum tier three items and worth a lot, sadly, they are not made for us so we can't use them.
He explained.
-Can't we exchange them with the trader for two that would fit us?
She asked.
Andrew thought for a moment, he never tried exchanging things but it would not hurt to try.
-We can try, and if it doesn't work, we can just sell them.
He said a moment later.
-This also shows that these crates might all contain such treasures.
-Then let's open them up, the girl said approaching another crate.
She was also getting excited about the prospect of finding other treasures such as this one.
She scanned the writing and waited patiently for the translation which took a few seconds.
-It just says the medical supplies.
She read the translated text.
This didn't make her excited at all as she was expecting to find some first aid kits or something like that.
-Open it up, and let's see.
Andrew said, curious about the contents.
The medical supplies could be anything from bandages to nanite injections, which he would welcome with open arms as they worked even better than the regeneration tank and one of them could heal him completely within a few minutes.
Thinking about it he remembered that in the game when you captured or destroyed a pirate ship there were always all sorts of treasures left to be salvaged.
The crate turned out to be filled with a hundred containers placed neatly in the holes cut for them in some kind of synthetic foam.
Andrew took out one of the containers and gasped.
-These contain the solution needed for the regeneration tank.
He said, putting the container back in its place, with utmost care.
-Aelita can you translate the writing on the container?
He asked, showing her a small plate on top of the container.
-It says, T4 L2, uni,reg,sol.
She said after a moment it took to translate the markings.
Andrew's jaw hit the floor once again but harder this time.
If the translation was correct, these were tier 4 level 2 universal regeneration solutions.
With only one of them, he could be fully healed within three days, but for that, he would need a tier 4 regeneration tank.
-Are these valuable?
Aelita asked, seeing his reaction.
-They are much more than valuable.
If this translation is correct then they are two whole tiers above our current technology, and I don't even know how much they would be worth if we wanted to sell them, but each of these containers is certainly worth more than this whole station.
He explained.
This made the girl speechless.
It took both of them a while to get over the shock but once they did, they decided to open the rest of the crates and see what was inside.
All of the writings were vague at best, but they found a lot of treasures inside and almost all of them were tier 3 or tier 4 items.
Three more crates were filled with the regeneration solution, identical to the first one they found.
They also found another crate with two more space armors, another six crates contained parts for a rail cannon that could be installed on a ship.
Another crate contained AI chips, ready to be installed in a computer core and there were twenty of them inside.
In the next two crates, they found communication relays and plans to make more of them.
Aelita's eyes practically glowed when she figured out what these were and how they worked.
-Can we use them?
She asked, hoping that Andrew would agree.
With these, she could communicate with all the other station masters in real time since they were designed for faster-than-light communication in a range of up to 50 lightyears.
Additionally, they could be used to scan the same area in real-time so the sponsor range would increase many times.
-We will deploy one of them later.
Andrew agreed, seeing her pleading expression which made her look quite cute.
He would deploy one even if she didn't ask, if for no other reason than to get the increased sensor range.
The next three crates were filled with the railgun ammunition, containing ten rounds each, which made sense since they found a weapon there was bound to also be some ammo for it.
At this point, they both stopped getting surprised at whatever they found anymore.
-These are the last four, and they have the same markings.
Aelita said, approaching with her tablet to translate the writing.
-Master, come here quickly!
She almost screamed with excitement, even forgetting to not call him master.
Andrew rushed over from the ammo crates, he was looking over at the moment.
-What is it?
He asked, surprised that she called him over like it was an emergency.
Instead of answering, she showed him the translated text on her tablet.
-You have got to be kidding me.
He said after reading the translation.
It read: regeneration tank 1/4
-Let's open it, he said hurriedly.
The moment the lid was off, they saw a part of a regeneration tank, the bottom of it to be exact.
They hurriedly opened the remaining three crates and found the rest of the tank inside along with a tablet containing its assembly manual and technical data.
The biggest surprise was that this was also a tier 4 level 2 tank, just like the solutions they found.
Soon after they put the lids back onto the crates and went back to the command center to sum up and discuss what to do with their treasures.
In all, they found:
4 space armors.
400 Tier 4 level 2 regeneration solutions.
1 Rail cannon
20 AI chips
2 communication relays.
30 rounds for the rail cannon.
1 tier 4 level 2 regeneration tank.
This was an extremely advanced technology and its value was immense, but the sad part was that other than the communication relays, they could not use any of it right now.
Aelita was a bit surprised when Andrew told her that.
-Why can't we use them?
She asked.
-I know that they are much more advanced, but we should be able to use the regeneration tank and the rail cannon.
She said.
-The tank is too advanced and we don't have the support modules for it, as for the rail cannon, it's meant to be installed on a ship, not a station.
Not to mention that its power requirements are enormous.
Andrew said, pointing at the technical data.
The cannon would require almost all of their power to fire just once, and that's even if they managed to install it.
-Then what about the AI we found?
We have three computer cores and not a single AI is installed in them.
She asked, growing frustrated with the whole situation.
They found the technology that was probably the most advanced in this galaxy to date, but they could not use it.
-These AI are not designed for us so I doubt that they will listen to us and may even prove to be dangerous so I won't risk instaling it.
He explained.
-Then what are we going to do with all these items, sell them?
She asked, with a sour expression.
-Not quite.
I plan to trade them for ones that we actually can use, but that depends on the assumption that the merchant will be able to agree to my terms.
He explained.
-Either way, we will know tomorrow, for now, let's figure out a good spot to deploy the relay.
He ended the discussion and they started to look for a good spot to drop the relay.
To be honest any spot would do, since it had 50 lightyears of range but they wanted to be sure that it would not be destroyed by an asteroid and stayed away from any incoming pirates or other hostiles.
