Chapter 87 Metamorphosis.

It was late when Andrew finally arrived at the command center, and All the ladies looked at him curiously.

His demeanor has changed, showing much more self-confidence, but there was also something else, something they were unable to put their fingers on, but it was there.

Seeing their gazes, he smiled in amusement.

-Where is Aelita?

Nairin finally asked breaking the silence.

-She's in the medical module with Iliana.

Andrew said, remembering that just a few minutes ago, after their discussion in bed which lasted a few more hours, Aelita tried to get up and discovered that her body was sore from the previous night's activities.

She had difficulty moving and walking was even worse, so Andrew took her to the medical module, despite her protests.

Iliana was surprised, curious, and amused at the sight of Aelita being brought by Andrew, while she was still protesting and shouting at him to put her down.

In the end, she finally agreed to take a nap in the regeneration tank as there was no reason to suffer if all it took was two or three hours in the tank to heal her completely.

This time they used the basic tank as there was no need to use the advanced one and the moment Aelita was asleep and submerged in a regeneration solution, Andrew left her in Iliana's care, while he wanted to see what was going on in the command center.

-What happened to her?

Lanarine asked, surprised that their engineer needed to go to the medical module.

-You can ask her later.

Andrew said with a mysterious smile.

-How's the fighter production going?

He asked, getting straight to business.

-The last fighters will be ready in about an hour, making a total of 48 drone fighters, the ammunition rockets and bombs are ready and waiting to be loaded.

Nairin said, taking over Aelita's responsibilities in her absence.

-Good work.

Andrew said, impressed with her easy transition.

-What about the materials?

-We are at 70% of our capacity and will be at full in around 6 hours if we don't use them for anything. 

Lanarine said, raising her head from another scan.

-Very good, are there any developments in our immediate vicinity?

Andrew asked.

-Nothing much for now, but there are more and more pirate ships arriving in this sector.

Lan answered.

-Alright, keep an eye on this and if there is any movement directed our way, I want to know about it as soon as possible.

Andrew wasn't worried about the pirates anymore, with the fighters and anti-ship weaponry, not to mention the increased number of railguns and cannons, he was certain that he could take them out, long before they even entered their effective weapons range.

-What about the droids?

He asked a moment later.

-We have 20 hangar maintenance droids in each hangar and another 20 ship repair droids.

I also got notifications that the pirate ships in the hangars lack parts to be repaired and a question about dismantling some of them for parts to repair the rest of them.

Nairin reported.

-Go ahead with using the parts from other ships to get them repaired.

Andrew said, after hearing her out.

He was just about to look over the sensor data about the increase in pirate activity in the area when his comms bracelet suddenly activated.

-Andrew, come back to the medical module as soon as possible, we have a little problem.

Iliana's voice came from the device.

-I'm on my way.

He answered and sprinted out of the command center.

If there was a problem, then it could only mean one thing.

Something was wrong with Aelita, as she was the only patient at this time.

-What's going on?

He asked as he barged into the medical module.

-Take a look.

Ilia said, pointing at the regeneration tank which was occupied by Aelita.

Andrew looked at the tank and then at the data displayed on the holo-screen.

-What does this mean?

He asked, not understanding the data as he was seeing something like that for the first time.

-She's changing and I'm pretty sure that it has something to do with the tank and what the two of you did last night, but to be sure we would need to put her into the more advanced tank.

This will allow us to monitor her more closely and also it should make her metamorphosis or whatever this is easier.

-Will that be safe?

Andrew asked, worried that an interruption could have some side effects.

-I'm sure that there is no danger in transferring her to another tank, but we should do it as quickly as possible, just in case.

The doctor said.

-Prepare the second tank, I'll carry her there when it's ready.

-It's already prepared, but I can't transfer her alone, at least not as quickly as you can.

Ilia said and started flushing the solution from the tank.

As soon as the tank was empty, Andrew took Aelita out and carried her to the more advanced one.

In less than two minutes, she was once again in a tank.

Iliana, opened the diagnostic panel to take a look.

-The transfer didn't cause any side effects, and her changes are now progressing faster.

She Said, after looking at the data.

-Can you identify, what kind of changes she is undergoing?

Andrew asked, still worried as Aelita never told him about any sort of metamorphosis or whatever this was.

-According to this data, her muscle and bone density are increasing and her whole body is adjusting to the increase.

There are also some readings here, that I have never seen before, so at most, I can tell you that she is getting stronger and much sturdier than she was till now.

The best-case scenario is that she won't need the gravity compensator anymore after this, as for the rest, we can only wait and see.

The doctor said.

That was not the explanation he was expecting, but it was way better than anything he could have come up with.

-Can you tell, what was the trigger to her changes?

Andrew asked, remembering that she said something about their night activity.

-As far as I can tell, her body is adjusting to foreign DNA, and considering the reason she had to be put in the tank in the first place, the only source of foreign DNA in her body can be you.

-You're telling me that her body is adjusting to human DNA?

Andrew asked, surprised.

-Yes, and it's to your DNA to be precise.

I have never even heard about something like this, so it's surprising and fascinating to see it happen.

Ilia said, her voice full of barely contained excitement.

-If it's my DNA, then why didn't anything like this happen earlier?

The human asked, a bit puzzled.

It had been many hours since they had sex and Aelita was all alright, there were no signs of any changes being done to her body.

-My current theory is that the solution works as a catalyst and the treatment is an activator.

Combined with her natural healing ability and your DNA, it forced her body to undergo metamorphosis or possibly an evolution of sorts, we won't know for sure until the process is finished and I do a full scan of her body.

Iliana said, not even bothering to hide her enthusiasm and excitement of being the first one to discover such a thing.

-Do we at least know how long this will take?

Andrew asked.

Seeing Ilia like this would make him laugh his but off in any other circumstances, but now he was worried About Aelita and was in no mood to laugh.

-According to the tank data, it will take around 72 hours for her to finish the process, but it might not be accurate.

Like I said, I have never seen anything like that and there is nothing about it in the medical database.

-Alright, contact me if there is any new development.

Andrew said and prepared to go back to the command center.

He was still worried, but there was nothing he could do to help with this situation.

-Don't worry, she will be fine, and if something happens, I'll contact you right away.

Ilia said, putting her hand on his shoulder to try and comfort him.

-Thank you.

 He smiled weakly at her before leaving.

Being preoccupied with Aelita's state he failed to notice Iliana's reaction when she touched him.

Once he left the medical module, Ilia turned to Aelita.

-You are the first of us to get him, sister.

But you can't keep him all to yourself.

The doctor said, with a smile.

Just now when she touched Andrew's shoulder, she felt like her whole body was shocked by electricity and her heart was speeding like crazy.

It took all of her willpower to not show any reaction before the man.

What Andrew didn't know, was that most of the ladies already decided to share him as their partner and were just waiting for the best moment to try and seduce him right now.
