Haruki caught his breath, his body heating instantly as his thoughts tumbled into dangerous territory. He gulped, trying to steady his voice, but the excitement slipped through in his stammer. "N-Not on the lips?"
"No." Lanling's tone was firm, but the amusement in his raised brows betrayed him as he watched Haruki's cheeks darken to a vivid red.
"A-Anywhere else... is okay?" Haruki whispered, the words laced with uncertainty. 'Am I dreaming?'
Lanling's heart stumbled at the question, his own cheeks betraying him with a faint flush. He pursed his lips before answering softly, "Just... not on the lips." Then, taking a couple of steps back, he tried to put some distance between them. Standing so close to Haruki was making him uncomfortably warm.
But Haruki closed the gap instinctively, keeping Lanling at arm's length.
