The woman was naturally left behind as the trio materialized in a dimly lit grand chamber. Four majestic pillars supported the ceiling while dozens of large dome-shaped cages lined one side of the room. Bound mortals struggled against their restraints within these cages, and dark-cloaked individuals roamed the space.

Immediately, heads turned to the intruders in utter shock. As curses were muttered, bolts of lightning struck, rendering the onlookers unconscious. Most collapsed to the floor, their bodies motionless, some teetering on the brink of death.
