As the night deepened and Lanling's heart loosened, exhaustion finally caught up with him, and he simply lay on top of Haruki. His ear was pressed against Haruki's chest as he let himself be lulled to sleep by the rhythmic beating of his heart.

Haruki noticed Lanling's endearing actions and melted. His eyes narrowed with affection as he reached out to untangle Lanling's hair, silently noting to himself how much he loved caressing it and how he would never tire of feeling its silky softness.

It didn't take long for Lanling to fall into a deep sleep. Soft purring sounds escaped him as his hands relaxed on Haruki's arms.

Haruki wasn't tired, so he took that opportunity to savor every stroke of his petting and every subconscious muttering he heard from Lanling.
