The battle continued for a few more minutes, with Lanling and Mainu drinking a high-grade potion amidst the chaos. The boundaries of the dimension were rapidly crumbling—half of the castle had already fallen into the void.

It was becoming harder to dodge Kael's speed, and without Haruki's wind, Lanling doubted they would have lasted this long.

"...You're getting stronger," Kael's guttural voice rasped, now tinged with a dull fury. His eyes, once lifeless, now flared with rage as they locked onto Haruki. "You're melding your Talent into your godhood... Ha... haha—HAHAHA!"

Kael's mind seemed to snap from the absurdity of the situation, disbelief clinging to him as if gum had been stuck in the deepest part of his hair.

He ran his hands over his face, tilting his head back as they came to rest over his eyes, as if the simple act could alter the reality before him.
