Using the “3 wishes” format is just plain dumb in 2025. By now, this format has been overused to the point of blandness, being relegated to the „lazy writing” category. Also, as in most „3 wishes” stories, they are all BS and completely unrealistic, considering they just reflect what the author wanted when they wrote that chapter.
Rather than write the MC as a character, he is more of a tool for the author’s fulfilment.

I loved the idea … but all the things the mc got from the 3 wishes was never used (at least until around chapter 10 where I left) 

He constantly say weird thing that are supposed to make him look smart.

Then he says things like politique Will be hard and that people are hidding things from him, but he never use his magic to Read their minds.

The story Make Little sens, just because he look valyrian and have a jewelry of valyria he can meet the 3 lords of Volantis, Read inside their library, live as their guest, take one of their boat and go back to valyria with their mens (without patient for anything, without any proof of his ability or of his Knowledge(other thanks his weird statement)

Now that I am wrighting this, I réalise that Maybe the mc is constantly using magic (but he make no mention of it), because this is the only way the story make sens (is if he use magic to mind fck ever1 to do what he want)
