"Da da
Night fell.
After rescuing the three Hancock sisters, Wilhelm and his group chose not to stay in the Sabaody Archipelago to avoid drawing Marine attention.
After resupplying, the large flying ark took off and left the dreamlike Bubble Island behind.
They bypassed Mary Geoise, soared over the towering Red Line (5,000 meters above sea level), officially entered the New World, and began following the life card towards the Totto Land sea area.
As for the three Hancock sisters, after cleaning up, they were assigned a bedroom on the second floor.
The room had an unbelievably soft, enormous bed, along with sofas, coffee tables, and other furniture. The windows offered a stunning view of the outside, and it even had a private bathroom.
The "September 37" ship wasn't cramped or narrow—it was spacious, in fact, even exaggeratedly so.
This was a ship Smoothie had designed for herself, and only a select few were allowed to live above the second floor, with most of the inhabitants being Charlotte family members.
With no shortage of resources, the design and decor were as luxurious and comfortable as possible.
The three sisters, exhausted and terrified both physically and mentally, couldn't fall asleep in this lavish room.
They feared this might just be a dream and that upon waking, they'd face an even crueler nightmare.
Hancock kept thinking about the words Wilhelm had said to her earlier that day:
"Weak people can't even control their own fate... If your next actions satisfy me, I might consider allowing your two younger sisters to return safely to Amazon Lily."
She clenched her fists tightly.
It didn't matter to her what happened, but the chance for her younger sisters to return home safely was everything.
Thinking about this, Hancock's eyes filled with determination.
She needed to get stronger!
Only by becoming strong could she control her own fate.
She'd been auctioned off as a slave at the auction house and almost became a slave to the Celestial Dragons. The humiliation, fear, and despair were experiences she never wanted to relive.
On the third floor, inside Wilhelm's bedroom, the silver-haired figure of Wilhelm sat alone on the sofa, eyes closed, deep in thought.
Nearby, his two sabers—Shichiseiken and Tenseiga—lay quietly.
"Ozzzz..."
A flash of lightning.
A beautiful figure appeared in front of Wilhelm.
Smoothie, the 14th daughter of the Charlotte family, wore light red sleepwear, which showcased her growing curves. Her dark purple hair, which she had dyed at Wilhelm's suggestion, was loose and flowing.
"Wilhelm..."
"Sister Smoothie, you're here again..." Wilhelm opened his eyes, noticing the relaxed, freshly bathed woman before him, her complexion glowing, looking a little lazy as she approached.
"Are you really planning to go to Mary Geoise?" Smoothie asked, stepping forward and gently massaging Wilhelm's temple to ease the strain from a day of practice.
She was concerned. "Isn't it too risky?"
In her view, the results from Impel Down were already substantial.
There was no need to take the risk of going to Mary Geoise, especially considering the dangers of the Red Line.
Even if they wanted to infiltrate, she believed they should wait a couple of years for Wilhelm's strength to grow.
"It's a bit risky, but it's not a huge issue..." Wilhelm replied casually, not too concerned. "Considering that no one has invaded Pangu City in hundreds of years, Mary Geoise' defenses are likely lax."
He chuckled lightly, adding, "Even if something goes wrong, I'm strong enough to protect myself, and at worst, I can escape without a scratch."
"But given that we still have no idea what the true horrors of the World Government's giant beast are, there's no need for you to come along!"
Wilhelm hadn't forgotten.
Above Mary Geoise, besides the World Nobles who indulge in pleasure and excess, and those who eat vegetarian meals, there are also the highest CIPHER-POL agents directly under the World Government—CPO, known as the loyal dogs of the Celestial Dragons—and the Five Elders, who hold the highest authority in the World Government.
But none of this really worried Wilhelm.
What truly scared him was the mysterious figure known as Im, who sat on the Empty Throne in Pangaea Castle—a throne no one had sat on for 800 years. Even the Five Elders kneel before him, and he is suspected to be the "King of the Dragon People."
If there were no surprises, this "Im" could be an ancient monster who had lived for an unknown number of years...
So, to be cautious, Wilhelm hadn't planned on bringing Smoothie along this time.
He decided to go alone.
"It's almost time, I should go…" he muttered, noticing the night growing darker. Without hesitation, Wilhelm grabbed the Shichiseiken and Tenseiga, stood up, and said, "You don't need to wait for me. I'll follow the life card and catch up!"
He stood, gently cupping Smoothie's beautiful face in his hands, and tapped her forehead lightly, signaling that he was fine.
With a flash, he disappeared from the Ark.
Meanwhile, Tufinger, who had been lazily lounging in its luxurious kennel, was startled. Reacting immediately, it transformed into a massive eagle.
With Wilhelm on its back, it flapped its wings and soared into the sky, flying in the direction of the Red Line.
Not long after, under the cover of night, the gigantic vulture Finley carried Wilhelm over the nearly unreachable Red Line. It silently flew over Mary Geoise without attracting any attention.
Wilhelm didn't use Observation Haki in a large way, to avoid alerting any powerful individuals.
In an instant, he vanished from Finley's back.
He landed silently on the roof of a brightly lit, extravagant villa and dove into it. Ignoring the muffled voices he could hear, Wilhelm's figure flashed around, skillfully avoiding the bodyguards' sight.
With his precise control, he activated a special kind of Observation Haki that covered the entire villa.
"This is surprisingly easy!" he thought, using his Haki like an X-ray to scan the villa and several meters underground, taking in all the details.
Ignoring some unpleasant sights, Wilhelm located the treasure room of the Celestial Dragons.
Inside, mountains of gold and jewels were piled up, making the place look dizzying.
Three boxes filled with Devil Fruits were carelessly tossed aside.
It silently spoke to the depravity and arrogance of these World Nobles.
