Everything was just a dream—it's the same phrase that Aria keeps on muttering to herself over and over again every single day that she wakes up but still, nothing changes in her situation even though she keeps reminding herself the unbelievable truth that she's currently facing.
She can clearly recall her memory of dying after being betrayed by her so-called-friend and fiance. Those two ungrateful motherf*ckers shot her because she caught them having an affair and wants to get her wealth. Aria got caught off guard and didn't even have a chance to take revenge because she died easily. Who wouldn't after being shot on the forehead? Even in this fake reality that she's living in, she'll never forgive them.
"Miss Aria, it's time for you to take your medicine."
Janice, the owner of the soft voice who just spoke, came in holding a tray of food and several bottles of medicines. The chubby middle aged woman who's height only reaches Aria's chin claims to be her nanny since she was a child. She's the one who takes care of her most of the time ever since she woke up.
"Why am I still here? Even though this is just a fake reality, shouldn't I be released from this fake hospital already?"
Janice flashed a worried expression and is on the verge of tearing up already. Aria couldn't help but to roll her eyes in annoyance.
She doesn't want to be rude but she's really confused about what's happening to her.
"Oh no, my dear. You're saying strange things again."
Her nanny walked towards her to give her a tight hug while gently combing her hair using her nanny's fingers.
"Don't worry, miss Aria. You'll be home soon. Mr. and Mrs. Valiente are very excited to take you home to the point that they even renovated your room with pink painted walls and lots of cute decorations just as you like."
"What? Pink walls? Cute decorations?"
"Yes, dear. Your father bought all the most expensive yet cutest furniture and appliances available overseas. Isn't that what you wanted?"
Aria grimaced from what she heard out of disgust. Pink and cute? Those two words were not listed in her vocabulary when she was still alive. That's way too far from her favorite color which is pitch black and crimson red.
"Anyway, the doctor said that you can go home now that you're all healed up. Your health is improving dramatically and that caught everyone's attention. Now all the doctors in this hospital want to examine you furthermore."
"That's exaggerated. They're treating me as if it's a miracle that I woke up."
The nanny didn't answer so Aria glanced at her only to see Janice's awkward smile. One of her eyebrows raised when she saw another batch of tears falling from Janice's eyes with a hint of pity on it.
"Oh dear... It's sad hearing how clueless you are about what happened to you. Well, considering the fact that you fell from the third floor head first to the ground, it's really a miracle that you're alive, honey. Don't worry, whether you remember or not, it's fine as long as you're alive."
Ever Since Aria woke up a month ago, she never questioned the reason on why she was stuck in a hospital. She thought that everything was just a dream, or that she might be in a purgatory and just hallucinating. She even named her everyday life as a fake reality.
However, she's also fond of reading some novels as a hobby when she was still alive that's why
she had an idea that she might have been reincarnated or transmigrated into another person's body with the same name as her. She's just denying that thought but now that it's already been over a month since she was awake, her theory is not that impossible at all.
But what did Janice say? This person's body fell from the third floor head first? D*mn, is the shape of her head okay? It's a miracle indeed.
Aria went off the bed and walked towards the bathroom to check the shape of her head. Her eyes widened in disbelief after seeing herself for the first time after waking up.
Whoever this person is, they are not just sharing the same name but also the same face! It's the same young face that she had when she was in highschool. No wrinkles. No scar. Just a very smooth, soft and blemish free face.
Her eyes squinted and clicked her tongue after the realization.
"D*mn, this is not a dream. I've reincarnated."
