"I was defeated like this, Satoshi. I'm really surprised that you've trained your Pokémon to this level since you started your adventure today. From now on, I have to go all out."

The more Brock looked at this scene, the more he admired Satoshi.

He decided that from now on, he couldn't treat Satoshi as a Rookie Trainer. This young Trainer had already proven himself capable.

"Oh no..." Satoshi muttered, his eyes narrowing at the sight of the Luxury Ball. "A Luxury Ball? Seriously? Isn't this supposed to be my first gym match?"

The tension in the air thickened as Brock tossed the Luxury Ball into the air.

With a burst of white light, a massive creature emerged—a Pokémon resembling a prehistoric pterosaur, with razor-sharp claws, serrated teeth, and wings tinged with purple.

"Aerodactyl!?" Satoshi exclaimed, nearly dropping his Pokédex. "Wait, wait, wait! Is this thing holding a Mega Evolution Stone!?"

Satoshi's suspicions were confirmed when he saw Brock fasten a bracelet with a Key Stone onto his wrist.

Brock raised his hand, and the Key Stone resonated with the Aerodactylite, triggering a transformation.

The Aerodactyl roared as its body glowed with an intense light. It grew larger, its wings sprouting jagged stones, and its tail developed sharp, rocky edges.

The evolution was complete. Aerodactyl had become a Mega Aerodactyl.

"Unfair? This isn't unfair; it's outright robbery!" Satoshi interrupted.

"I didn't choose this lightly," Brock continued. "I was given specific instructions to use this Aerodactyl against you. But if you defeat it, I'll give you extra compensation."

"Extra compensation, you say?" Satoshi's anger faltered for a moment, replaced by intrigue.

"Yes," Brock affirmed. "If you win, I'll give you not one, but two special rewards."

Satoshi's expression shifted instantly. "Two rewards? Why didn't you say that earlier? Fine! Let's do this. I've always wanted to test my skills against a Mega Pokémon!"

Brock sighed, relieved that the heated exchange had calmed. He motioned for the battle to begin.
