Chapter 10: The Shadow's Origins

Sophia's heart pounded as the mysterious figure's transmission ended. Kanaq's eyes narrowed.

"The Shadow's true leader," Kanaq repeated. "We've long suspected a mastermind behind the darkness."

Aria's fingers flew across her navigation device. "I'm tracking the transmission's source. It's coming from an ancient temple deep within the jungle."

Dr. Lee's eyes widened. "The Temple of the Moon Goddess. Legend says it holds the secrets of the Shadow's origin."

Kael's grip tightened around his sword. "We need to get there before the Shadow's leader does."

Sophia's determination unwavering. "We'll uncover the truth. Let's move out."

As they journeyed to the temple, the jungle grew denser, the air thickening with an eerie energy. Aria's navigation device beeped, signaling their approach.

The Temple of the Moon Goddess loomed before them, its entrance guarded by ancient stone statues. Sophia's heart pounded as she stepped forward.

"We're not alone," Kael warned, his sword at the ready.

A figure emerged from the shadows, its eyes blazing with an otherworldly intensity.

"Welcome, Sophia," the figure said, its voice dripping with malice. "I've been waiting. My name is Arkeia, and I'm the Shadow's true leader."
