Alexander's voice was very gentle as he said reassuringly, "I'm fine. Go to sleep. Good night."
Avery anxiously called, "Wait! Tell me where you are! I'll come help you or call the ambulance for you."
"Miss Carter, I'm really fine. When I'm free in a few days, I'll definitely treat you to a meal at Rosemont City," Alexander replied.
Avery did not waste time talking to him. She opened a software on her phone and stalled for time. "What? Wait a minute. I didn't turn on the lights just now and bumped against the wall. I didn't hear what you were saying. Tell me again. Where are you? What are you doing?"
Alexander's voice was so low that she could barely hear him. "I said I'm fine. I won't disturb you anymore." After that, Alexander started coughing.
Avery repeated, "Hey, the signal here is not good. Say it again."
Alexander uttered, "Miss Carter, goodbye." He hung up.
