Day one hunting down

As Dohyun walked inside the space,the door behind him close up reminding him that he locked in until he completed the tower.

When Buru said to pack things,he really did not know what to pack. He took some canned food that was stored in the dorm,something to start a fire with and a little plush.

The plush that his dad gave him on his 2nd birthday. It had the shape of a tiger,with big eyes that still shined after all those years.

To Dohyun,even if they look completely different,his dad was all. One day when he came back from kindergarten,Dohyun asked his dad a question.

At the kindergarten,all the children would say how they looked like their moms or dads. But one of the kids looked at Dohyun with innocent face

"I saw only your papa,but you don't look like him,"

This line really hurts him as he was the closest to his dad and he started to cry.

"Dad,why they say we don't look alike?" Dohyun asked his dad that cooked a lunch after long day at work. He smiled and kneeled down to Dohyun's height.

"Family does not have to look the same to be a Familiy," he smiled and petted Dohyun's hair,making ot messy.

"Go sit at the table,the lunch is ready,"

Dohyun never since that day asked his dad about it. He took a last gaze at the plush and put it back to the backpack to make sure it is safe.

The one fact that really bothered him was that skills does not work in this space,which means that whatever happen to him he can't Summon Hawl or Toyu.

Wait,if skills does not work here, what about Orange?!

"Orange?"

Dohyun tried to call Orange out but did not get any response nor did he saw the cat that always sleeping on his shoulder

It's only him,the dull dagger and his physics to fight against those unknown beings that lay all around the place.

However,before he could even enter the tower,monsters were all around the place. It did not looked like they were unbeatable as Dohyun observed one of them.

They took the shape of a wolf,but were much more bigger than one he knew of. Their fangs were bigger and poison was dropped out of theirs mouth.

While catching a poor little prey,it melted down and became only a flash. This scene made Dohyun's legs shiver.

Maybe ot was from fear,but part of him was excited to be able to put all his hard work into the real things.

"You have high hopes for the kid," The Messenger said as they looked at the image of Dohyun hiding away from the wolfs.

Buru did not dare to talk back as she hopelessly looked at the scene before admiting to herself it was a bad idea.

The Messenger laught," It's not fun when you are this quiet,I miss when you were loud,"

"My apologies,it seems like my intuition were wrong to send him there,"

"Wrong? I don't think so,"

Dohyun looked around the place to find a high spot,but all the trees that were once standing were burned down.

He took out the dagger,it was not a very sharp one but it's all he have for now. Looking at the wolfs,trying to find some weak spot they have but he could not find any.

As if they were built to be unbeatable,they all went around in a pack. Maybe their numbers could be disadvantage?

Dohyun's head started to hurt. Not only because he had to think,but the heat in this place was higher,much higher than regular summer day in Seoul.

Fire filed the distance and did not let any green out. It was as if Hell was laid upon this place,what a pity.

Drips of sweat really began to cover Dohyun's body,his hand starts to loose grip on the dagger from the sweat.

He did not have much time before losing it to the heat,he had to move fast!

He manged to find a lone wolf that was far from the pack,it would be easier to hunt it down when they are not in a big numbers.

Holding the dagger tightly,he jumped out of the stone he was hiding behind to strike a attack at the wolf's skin.

"Hmm? Not even a stretch?what a wastless-!" The wolf quickly noticed someone attacked it as it turned its back to Dohyun's side.

"Shi-!" The wolf lanched a attack with its claws to tear the human in front of him apart.

With a quick reaction time,Dohyun block it with his dagger. It seems like the dagger is strong enough to hold against the wolf's claws.

While blocking it's attack,Dohyun got closer and closer. While he did not manged to block the one that targets his legs and hands,he did for the crucial parts of the human body.

Dohyun did not realized the dagger got stronger the more of its owner blood it sucking. The blood that dropped down from his arms was fed by the dagger.

It became much more sharp and much lighter to use and finally Dohyun got close enough to strick another hit on the wolf.

Dohyun did not expect it to damage the wolf,but a big cut that sliced it to half appeared and killed it immediately.

Breathing heavily,Dohyun looked at the dagger. It had changed! It's blade is much more clean and sharp while being in the color of black. Tossing it around he also realized it became much more lighter than it was.

However he did not have the time to be impressed as the pack was already infront of him.

"That dagger... you are funny indeed," The Messenger smiled to themself. It was the wepon they gave to that woman. For their surprise it took a shape of other weapon when they first gave her this.

"Giving my gift to other,what a brave human you are," The Messenger hated being bored,looking at the mortal next to them that was unable to complet the tower yet came back alive was out of ordinary.

No mortal was able to defeat the master of the tower and complete it,but that mortal really had the thoughts of this child to able to do it.

Even if Buru could not see The Messenger's face,she could feel their smile that grew bigger and bigger. They were just like a mere kid that get to play with their dolls.

What a frightening being they were.

With bleeding arms that slow him down,a sweat that did not stop its appearance and a throat that begging for water,Dohyun stood against the wolfs frightening froms.

Every single thought he had I'm his mind was to run and hide,but it was too late as every step of his would trigger them to move.

Something he discovered was their only weakness was their blindness. Their vision was completely bad as they did not looked straight at him but to the place he made sound.

If he accidentally steps on a leaf,they would move this heads to the direction and so on.

Every single move he made was calculated in a way he would not make any sound.

Slowly after hours manged to collect stuff that would make noise,his plane was childish but one can not consider such a thing is a death or life situation.

Dohyun throw a rock,a wolf would go that way,and a slice was all it met in the end. Again. And again.

Slice. Another one down.

Something weird with the dagger. It shined and was full of fire. As if the fire from this place was sucked by it and devouring Dohyun's enemies

The last wolfs were burned down to ashes after he sliced them down.

Slowly Dohyun's mind began to change. He did not realize it but his movements become from a pray,to a hunter.

The last wolf was standing alone,it looked young as if just became a teenager. Unfortunately for such a being to be in such a place where it's future was to die in order for a mere mortal to get strong.

Slice.

It fell to the ground. Burning alive.

Hunting down every single wolf there was,his eyes turned blank to the view of sea of blood and smell of burned flash.

Dohyun looked at his arm. It seems like he got injured by the last one from its venom. It started to melt down to his body with a pain one can not describe.

Nonetheless,the wound close up faster than it melted and soon disappeared. "What..?" Dohyun was shocked and remembered this happened to him once outside.

Ah right,from that woman demon. Dohyun started to wonder what happens with her? Do they have their own home and family they go back to after killing humans?

Do Hawl go back normally to him home after murdering his own people? Doesn't that mean all of them hate him?

But the way that woman demon spoke to Hawl seems like he was no ordinary demon,at all.

Thinking about that bastard make his all mood bad so he shook it off from his mind to go to a near fountain that was luckily untouched.

Looking down at the water,his image kf himself appeared.All of his face was covered in blood of the wolfs, cleaning it up with his arm and take a sip of water.

After a quick break,Dohyun kept walking toward the tower that was sat in the middle of the filed.

Time is running out in this place faster than he expected,he have to finish this training quick so he can go back before dad would get worried to sick as he always do.

The towar was big,so marvelously big to the point he could not see the ending from his place of view.

Looking at the door that welcomed him like he was honored guest inside,Dohyun closed his eyes.

Learning the way of the wolf,to move by the sound.

He walked inside the tower with his eyes close,the door quickly closed itself and disappeared.
