Chapter 24

Sitting down, Arthur first turned toward Alice who was to his right before motioning with his head towards her plate of food that had been left untouched.

"You mind if I grab that?'

"No, go ahead," Alice replied with a slight smile as she pushed her food tray towards Arthur.

"Thanks."

With that final word, Arthur immediately went into his food looking like a starved animal as he ate the food at an incredible speed.

"I can never get used to that," Edward mumbled as he looked at Arthur.

Alice who was next to him gave a slight nod as well.

"So are you alright Arthur? Those guys don't seem like they will let this go."

It was Emmet who had put forward the question as his eyebrows furrowed slightly.

Taking his head out of his food, Arthur turned towards the bear-like vampire and gave a nod.

"I don't think they can do anything really, at most they could try and start spreading rumors however I can easily get rid of them using the teachers. If not that then they could try to physically attack me however that won't really turn out great for them." Arthur replied before turning to continue eating his food once more.

"Are you sure you can take on five of them at the same time? They're all pretty well built." Emmet asked as he gave a light hum.

"Should be easy enough, My physical abilities are higher than a regular human but not by much however even that makes me a lot stronger than a regular teenager like them."

"That's good," Jasper interjected, hearing his voice made Arthur turn his head suddenly before he gave a nod.

'He talks so rarely that I almost forgot he existed.' Arthur thought to himself before he heard it.

The surrounding murmurs of the students started dying down as the door of the cafeteria was opened once more.

'A slight deviation.' Arthur thought to himself before he immediately erased all thoughts from his mind.

The reason for the newfound silence in the cafeteria was one person.

Bella Swan.

Daughter of Charlie Swan, the chief police of Forks.

The Soul Mate of Edward Cullen.

A future Gifted Vampire.

And the Main Protagonist of the Original story.

The girl looked so much different from the person that she would become later on down the line, it was slightly jarring to Arthur.

The future Capable Vampire was now but a clumsy young girl entering the cafeteria of her new high school for the first time.

"Humm, I say she looks pretty alright," Arthur mumbled causing Edward and Alice to swerve their attention toward him.

"What? I mean if she's your soul mate then you should want her to at least be good looking right?" Arthur replied with his usual deadpan tone.

*Sigh*

Edward simply released a long-winded sigh before turning his attention away from Arthur.

"Then do I look good Arthur?" Alice immediately questioned without missing a single beat, however.

"You look great," Arthur replied though because his tone was so flat, it didn't sound like he actually meant it even if he did.

"Right, thanks," Alice replied, her expression showing a twitching smile.

"You should learn how to put more emotion in your lies Arthur," Emmet interjected with a slight smirk on his face.

Arthur only raised an eyebrow as he replied.

"I wasn't lying, however. While I don't feel this almost spiritual pull that Alice seems to feel coming from me, I do see Alice as an extremely beautiful girl."

At his words, Alice felt her lips twist upwards fully as her eyes slowly started darkening, the amber shine slowly turning darker and darker.

"Jasper get Alice out of here," Rosalie spoke up for the first time.

"What's wrong?" Alice questioned as she turned toward her sister.

"You're losing control again. Arthur should control what he says." 

Hearing what she said, Arthur turned to face Alice and gave a slight nod.

"You're already showing signs of losing control. Sorry, sorry, Alice." 

"It's alright Arthur. Let's go, Jasper." Alice said in return before taking Jasper with her and heading out of the cafeteria.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the cafeteria hall, two people were talking.

"So who are they?"

"Those are the Cullens and Arthur Moriarty."

"Who are they?" Bella Swan questioned.

"Well the Cullens are just this weird group who thinks they're above everyone else, and they're all totally freaky too." Jessica Stanely replied.

"The large one that looks like a bodybuilder is Emmet Cullen, he's together with the one to his left, that blonde is Rosalie Hale." 

"Together?" Bella questioned surprise evident on her face.

"Yeah, like together as in a couple," Jessica replied before she turned her eyes to the next Cullen discretely.

"Those two that are getting up are Jasper and Alice, they're just straight-up weirdos, one of them looks like he's in pain all the time whilst the other is just annoying and acts like everyone is her friend." 

"That's not a nice thing to say, Jessica." A voice interjected from the other side of their table.

"Oh come on, even you know that it's true Angela," Jessica replied before turning towards the last participants.

"Who's that guy then?" Bella questioned as she motioned towards the tall brown-haired man with amber eyes.

"That's Edward Cullen, he's a prick who thinks no one is good enough for him," Jessica replied before her eyes turned towards the last person.

"And that guy at the top of the table is Arthur Moriarty, he's like the best student in the country or something, he's a total genius. He's usually with a different group, I don't know why he's with the Cullens really, but you shouldn't try to interact with him." Jessica said as she released a soft sigh of disappointment.

"Why?" Bella questioned her tone of voice clearly showing her confusion.

"Just like Edward, he thinks he's better than everyone else."
