He thought that this position would help him to become one of the most popular and powerful figure in history, He did not know that the newly crowned Emperor considered him as a threat. Secrets were being prepared to deal with this ‘dangerous subject’ who had become too influential to be ignored.
“Oh, Dearest brother, I have to congratulate you on your well-deserved hire! How great must it feel to receive a court audience and the special joy of having a sword under your head before the imperial family!" The emperor said warmly.

The Empror's Trap

Pluvia could have accepted if it was just about the grain issue. However, problems soon emerged within Luminara capital as well.

Many officials were arrested and subjected to investigations that deviated from Camelot's laws. In the end, over a dozen officials were exposed for embezzling disaster relief funds and seizing civilian property. Kenji compiled all the punishment recommendations into a memorial and submitted it to Pluvia.

To be fair, these actions weren't entirely wrong - after Pluvia's verification, all the arrested officials were indeed guilty and deserved punishment.

Pluvia looked at the Grand Marshal before her.
