Unusual spot

Summer's POV

I leaned back against the barstool, my fingers tapping impatiently on the table as I waited for Amira to arrive. When she finally walked in, I waved her over, watching as she slid into the seat across from me, her eyes burning with curiosity.

"So, tell me who the girl is. I'm dying to know who had the audacity to go after my man," Amira demanded, her tone sharp.

I took a slow sip of my drink, letting the suspense build. "Hmmm, you won't believe it. The guy she married—it's unbelievable. It all feels like a damn dream," I said, feigning confusion.

Amira groaned, clearly impatient. "Come on, girl, don't you see how anxious I am? Stop speaking in riddles!"

I smirked. "Alright. She got my brother," I said bluntly.

Amira blinked, her expression unreadable for a second before she forced a smile. "Your brother?"

I sighed, exhaling smoke from my cigar as I took another drag. "I mean, she married my brother."

Amira scoffed, sipping her juice. "Wait, don't tell me a cheap girl got your brother?"

"Yes, and she's so damn rude. She even made my brother mad at me," I gritted out, my grip tightening on my glass. "I swear, I wish I could crush her."

Amira leaned in, her eyes dark with malice. "Really? She needs to be dealt with."

I nodded, my lips curling into a smirk. "But how? She has my brother on her side now," I murmured, my frustration seeping through my words.

Amira tsked, waving a manicured hand. "Shhh, baby girl. I'll tell you how." She leaned in, dropping her voice. "Come closer. The walls have ears."

I gestured for her to move in, and as she did, I whispered my plan into her ear.

She pulled back slightly, eyes gleaming. "Wow! Babe, that's fucking genius. If we do this to her, she'll be miserable and eventually leave the house. So, when do you plan to move in with them?"

For the first time, I hesitated, glancing down at my nails. "Actually, I'm a little worried," I admitted. "I need to convince my father first. If he supports me moving in, Aiden won't have a choice but to accept it."

Amira placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder. "Don't overthink it. Here's what you do—tell your father you want to get closer to the new addition to the family since you don't know her yet. Act all sweet and respectful, and he'll buy it."

A slow grin spread across my face. "You're right. If I play my cards right, he won't even suspect a thing."

We clinked our glasses together, a silent agreement passing between us. Marian had no idea what was coming.

"Well… that's a good suggestion there," I noted, my smile widening as my worries eased. "So, what are we waiting for? Let's order some food!"

Amira laughed, nodding in agreement. "Now you're talking!"

The waiter came over, and we placed our orders, both of us in much higher spirits than before. The game had just begun.

As we waited for our food, Amira twirled her straw between her fingers, a devious smirk playing on her lips. "You know," she began, her tone dripping with amusement, "this is going to be fun. I can already picture that bitch's face when things start falling apart for her."

I chuckled, taking another slow drag from my cigar. "Oh, trust me, I'll make sure she regrets ever stepping foot into my brother's life."

Amira leaned closer, her voice dropping to a whisper. "The key is patience. We don't just strike once and hope for the best. We break her piece by piece."

I smirked at her words, enjoying the thought of Marian crumbling under our plan. "Exactly. The first step is moving in. Once I'm in the house, I'll make her life hell from the inside. She won't even see it coming."

Amira nodded approvingly. "Good. But we need to be smart about this. Aiden isn't stupid. If we're too obvious, he'll catch on."

I rolled my eyes. "Please. He may be my brother, but when it comes to women, he's blind. If Marian plays the victim, I'll make sure he sees me as the 'concerned sister' just trying to get along with his new wife."

Our food arrived, and I picked up my fork, stabbing into my salad with a little more force than necessary. "She thinks she's won," I muttered, shaking my head. "But this isn't over. Not even close."

Amira let out a small laugh as she leaned back in her seat, her eyes glinting with amusement. "You know what's funny? She probably thinks she actually belongs in your brother's world," she scoffed, twirling her straw.

I smirked, taking another sip of my drink. "She's delusional. What does she even have that makes Aiden choose her? I mean, come on, she was dumped, and now she's acting all high and mighty because she lucked out into marrying my brother?"

Amira scoffed. "Exactly. She's nothing but a replacement. If Aiden wasn't available, she would've latched onto the next rich guy she could find. Desperate girls like her are all the same."

I chuckled darkly. "She won't be feeling so lucky soon enough. Once I move in, I'll make sure she regrets stepping into our family."

Amira nodded, biting into her fries. "I can't wait to see her crumble. Maybe I should pay her a little visit, too, just to remind her of her place."

Before I could respond, Amira's phone vibrated on the table. She glanced at the screen, her smirk fading slightly. "Ugh, it's Jayden."

I raised a brow. "What does he want?"

She sighed, tapping her manicured nails against the glass. "Probably wants me to come over." She let the phone ring a little longer before finally answering.

"What?" she answered flatly, twirling a strand of her hair between her fingers.

"Where are you right now?" Jayden's deep voice rumbled through the phone.

"At the bar with
