Summer's POV
The crisp morning air carried the faint scent of dew as I stood on the balcony of Aiden's villa, sipping my coffee. The sun had barely risen, casting a soft golden hue over the property, and for once, I felt... relaxed. Maybe it was because I was finally leaving.
Spending time here had been tolerable—mostly because of Aiden—but I missed the thrill of the track, the rush of competition. My next race was on Monday, and I needed to get back to training.
I sighed, stretching my arms before heading inside. The house was quiet, which wasn't surprising. Aiden was probably still asleep, and Marian—well, I had no idea what her mornings looked like.
Just as I stepped into the kitchen to grab a quick bite before leaving, I found her already there, making breakfast. She glanced up when she saw me, clearly surprised.
"Morning," I said, setting my coffee cup down.
