Where I my?

A few hours before the accident

Summer's POV

The night had been electric—laughter, music, and the buzz of my team's accomplishment filled the air. They'd worked hard for this, and the celebration was deserved. Still, something felt off. No matter how much I tried to immerse myself in the party, I couldn't shake the gnawing sensation in my chest, like there was something I was missing, something I couldn't quite put my finger on.

I moved through the crowd, nodding and smiling, but it was all automatic. Every laugh felt forced, every word hollow. I could feel my usual vibrancy slipping away, like I was watching myself from the outside rather than living in the moment. I wasn't sure why—maybe it was the pressure of the night, or maybe there was something else gnawing at me.
