The Trader

Stepping forward, she continued, trying to ignore the unsettling silence. She moved steadily for a while, but the monotony of the journey began to wear on her.

Without thinking, she began to hum a song softly to herself. It was a comforting tune, something she remembered from her childhood. She kept her voice low, just in case anyone could hear her.

Little Sweetie had told her there was no one else who knew about this tunnel. But as Nnenna hummed, she couldn't shake the feeling that she was being watched, whether by someone in the castle or something else entirely.

Still, she pushed the thought aside and pressed on, focusing on her mission.

Finally, Nnenna reached what seemed to be a dead end. The tunnel stretched in front of her, and she couldn't help but feel a twinge of confusion.

This didn't match what Little Sweetie had described. She had been told there would be a way out, but this didn't make sense.
