CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

The Search for the Truth

Heaven searched everywhere for the owner of the school, but every person she questioned gave her the same vague answers:

His name was not to be mentioned.

No one knew where he was.

Frustrated, she returned to her room to change clothes. Opening the wardrobe, she was surprised to find only black clothing—ironically, her favorite color. She dressed quickly and stood before the mirror. Suddenly, the mirror cracked, releasing thick black smoke. A man's face emerged from the darkness.

"Heaven... This is your school. You are exactly what I need to destroy Rockie. I am Rafaal, your lover," the voice declared before vanishing along with the smoke.

Terrified, Heaven bolted out of the room and rushed downstairs, where she spotted Madam Adeline.

"Who is Rafaal?" she demanded.

At the mention of his name, Madam Adeline quickly covered Heaven's mouth.

"Shh... His name is forbidden! He is the master of all evil and the true owner of the School of Yfel."

"But why build a school of Yfel? Yfel means evil."

"To bring balance to the world," Madam Adeline replied flatly.

"Balance? How does—"

"No more questions! Go on," she interrupted, pushing Heaven away.

But Heaven was determined. If no one would give her answers, she would find them herself.

Later that evening, Heaven wandered into a room where a party was in full swing. Music blared, and students danced wildly.

"Hey! Let's dance," a guy said, approaching her.

"I'm not the dancing type... sorry," she replied, sitting at a nearby table.

"I'm Raiden," he introduced himself, extending a hand.

"Heaven," she responded, shaking it.

"Heaven, huh?" He smiled.

Before their conversation could go further, the school bell rang. The party ended abruptly, and everyone shuffled toward a classroom.

"I hope you all enjoyed the party?" Madam Adeline asked, raising her staff.

"Yes, Madam Adeline!" the students chorused.

"Good. Today, we're learning how to dress evil," she announced.

Pointing at Heaven, she commanded, "You, come forward!"

Heaven hesitated before stepping up.

"Your hair needs work. Sit." Madam Adeline gestured toward a chair.

"What's wrong with my hair?" Heaven asked, running her fingers through the long black and red strands that reached her waist.

Madam Adeline didn't answer. Instead, she grabbed a pair of scissors.

Realizing what was about to happen, Heaven bolted for the door.

"No way!" she shouted.

But with a flick of her magic staff, Madam Adeline used dark magic to pull Heaven back, forcing her into the chair.

"No! Let go of me!" Heaven screamed, struggling, but it was useless.

The blades snipped mercilessly, and when the headmistress was finished, a mirror appeared in front of Heaven. Seeing the mess they had made of her hair, she let out a horrified scream.

Meanwhile, Amelia wandered alone behind the school. As she walked through the dimly lit corridors, a whisper echoed from the shadows.

"Amelia..."

She froze.

"Amelia!"

The voice came again. Heart pounding, she followed it cautiously until she reached a hidden cage. Inside, a beautiful girl was trapped.

"Help me… Amelia, please," the girl pleaded.

Amelia frantically searched for something—anything—to break the lock. She found nothing.

"Use your powers," the girl urged.

"I can't," Amelia admitted.

"You can. You just don't know it yet," the girl insisted.

Taking a deep breath, Amelia gripped the lock and closed her eyes. Suddenly, a surge of energy coursed through her, and the lock clicked open.

"I did it!" she gasped in amazement, quickly helping the girl out.

"Who are you? And why were you locked up?" Amelia asked.

The girl exhaled, shaking her head.

"Rafaal… He trapped me here so I wouldn't age, die, or reincarnate to destroy him."

Amelia's eyes widened. "Destroy him? Who are you?"

"I'm Rockie."

Amelia's breath caught in her throat. "But… I thought I was Rockie?"

Rockie sighed. "That was Rafaal's lie. He created you and Heaven to deceive everyone. But now, I need to find Velvet's spirit and end this once and for all."

"I'll help you," Amelia said firmly.

Rockie smiled. "Thank you."

Back in Amelia's room, Rockie changed into a beautiful yellow gown and styled her hair. As Amelia admired the transformation, she noticed a locket around Rockie's neck.

"Your locket… it's beautiful."

"Thanks. Kyle gave it to me," Rockie said, flipping it open. Inside was a message:

"I LOVE YOU."

"So, what now?" Amelia asked.

Rockie's expression hardened. "I need to take my story back and write it myself."

"Take it back from who?"

"From the one who rewrote it."

She pulled out an old diary, flipping through the pages. "It's time."

That night, Rockie and Amelia prepared for their mission.

"We need to find the Time Traveler," Rockie stated.

"Where?"

"In the School of Yfel."

Amelia paled. "No way! That school has evil lurking in every hallway."

"I know… but we don't have a choice."

Silence stretched between them. Then, with a sigh, Amelia nodded.

"Alright. Let's go."

They waited until nightfall before sneaking out through the window. Rockie created a portal, and they leaped in.

The school of Yfel loomed before them.

"This place is creepy," Amelia whispered.

"Shh… keep it down," Rockie warned.

They navigated through the dark corridors until they stumbled upon a shadowy door.

"It won't open… it's locked," Amelia said, tugging at the handle.

Rockie placed her hand over the lock, and it glowed before unlocking with a click.

Inside, the room lit up instantly.

They searched frantically.

"Over here!" Amelia called, drawing Rockie's attention.

In a small chamber, a golden device shimmered under a dim light.

Rockie's eyes widened.

"The Time Traveler!"

She reached for it, knowing this was the key to rewriting history—and finally defeating Rafaal.
