Armed with her great sword, Rozaliya hacked off the longest, most vicious fang from the red dragon's jaws, claiming it as proof of her slaying. After all, words alone held no weight; possessing a giant dragon's tooth was the strongest testament to being a dragon slayer.
"Liliya, what are you thinking about?" After putting away her fangs, Rozaliya noticed Liliya staring blankly at the dragon's carcass.
"I'm wondering which part of it would taste the best," Liliya mused, her hands gesturing as she spoke.
"..." You're actually planning to eat dragon meat?
Rozaliya looked at Liliya, whose face was utterly expressionless as she stared at the dragon, feeling utterly helpless.
"Liliya, there's some drool at the corner of your mouth," Rozaliya suddenly whispered softly into Liliya's ear.
"Huh?" Caught off guard, Liliya quickly touched her mouth.
"It's not there! Rozaliya, you're teasing me!" Realizing she had been tricked, Liliya glared at Rozaliya like an angry little kitten.
"Ha ha ha..."
Rozaliya couldn't help but burst out laughing.
"Ignore you? You silly Rozaliya."
With that, Liliya unsheathed her Great Sword, made a swift cut, and removed a piece of meat from the dragon's abdomen. After peeling off the scales, she stored it in her inventory.
-
"Say, System-chan... This huge dragon, it's really not worth much? Can it be exchanged for crystals?" Rozaliya stood atop the dragon's head, patting its carcass as she curiously asked the System.
[We have discovered a recharge item. Do you wish to recharge?]
"Huh? It's really possible? Would you not have alerted me if I hadn't asked?" Rosaria was momentarily stunned, instantly rendered speechless...
She had nearly missed out on those precious crystals.
[Do you wish to recharge?]
However, the System did not reply to Rozaliya; instead, it posed the question once again.
"Let's recharge!"
Recharge successful. Obtained 300 crystals
As the two-hundred-meter-long body of the red dragon vanished, Rozaliya's account was credited with 300 crystals.
"Such a massive dragon, yet it's only worth 300 crystals?" Rozaliya couldn't help but feel somewhat unsatisfied.
"It's more than enough. Think about the great Yokai in Inuyasha - how many crystals were they worth?" Liliya, on the other hand, was quite content. Compared to great Yokai, the value of a dragon was undoubtedly much higher.
"You're right..."
When Rozaliya considered the comparison, her mindset quickly balanced out.
"Alright, now let's go save the princess in the dragon's lair. I've heard that the red dragon's lair is filled with treasure. I wonder how many gold coins we can get from it."
In all worlds, the value of treasure could be directly converted into gold coins in their inventory.
-
A few minutes later, Rozaliya and Liliya arrived once again at the entrance of the dragon's lair. This time, there were no monsters blocking their way.
The twins effortlessly entered the cave.
Inside, they found it was not dark at all, but rather very bright.
The walls were adorned with glowing stones, creating a beautiful ambiance.
Of course, these weren't pearls from the sea, but a type of stone called fluorite. These sparkling gems and gold coins were the favorite treasures of dragons. As Rozaliya and Liliya reached the center of the lair, they gazed upon something that left them utterly astounded...
The blinding golden light almost blinded the two girls. Before them lay a mountainous pile of gold coins and precious gems...
It was an overwhelming sight.
The heap was roughly six to ten feet high, covering an area of about 1,000 to 1,200 square feet. One could easily imagine a red dragon lying here to sleep.
This was both the bed and treasure trove of the red dragon.
"Liliya, Liliya, we're rich!" Rozaliya exclaimed, running towards the mountain of gold. She picked up a few golden coins, examined them, and confirmed they were pure gold.
"Idiot Rozaliya," Liliya snapped, "a single skill activation costs tens of thousands, even up to a hundred thousand gold coins! We might not even have enough here to max out one Valkyrie's skills." Unlike Rozaliya's excitement, Liliya's surprise was fleeting; she quickly regained her composure and instinctively deflated Rozaliya's enthusiasm with her harsh words.
Rrrgh... "Liliya, couldn't you avoid killing the mood like that?" The excitement drained from Rozaliya's face at Liliya's words. Can't you just not be so... reality?
"But I'm telling the truth," Liliya said bluntly. "Let's convert them all to gold coins first!"
"Fine!"
Rozaliya and Liliya began systematically depositing the mountains of gold into their inventory.
It was just like the Homu Treasure from the game—once these treasures were placed in their inventory, they instantly converted into gold coins.
Coins x10,000 acquired.
Coins x2,000 acquired.
and so on -
Similar notifications kept appearing, and the number of gold coins belonging to Rozaliya and Liliya continued to climb rapidly.
By the end, Liliya and Rozaliya had completely transformed the mountain of gold and treasures before them into a simple stack of numbers...
Rozaliya and Liliya checked their gold coin balance. They had originally only had about nine point four million gold coins, but now they had exceeded ten million...
"Perfect!"
Liliya and Rozaliya clapped each other's hands, smiling.
"Wait, Liliya, do you see what's new in the inventory?" Just as Liliya was about to start searching for the princess, Rozaliya suddenly excitedly pulled her back.
"Hmm?" Liliya stopped, opened the inventory, and scrolled to the last row, where she saw... something familiar: "Originium..."
It was actually Originium.
"And it's 120 pieces! We're rich..." Rozaliya looked at Liliya excitedly.
"Is it from the mountain of gold from before?"
When they kept filling their inventory with treasure, they hadn't paid attention to anything else and hadn't even thought that the red dragon's hoard might contain something valuable like Originium, let alone 120 pieces.
"It must be this one. After all, it's the red dragon's treasure hoard; finding items like these wouldn't be surprising." Rozaliya held up a piece of Originium, examining it closely.
It was indeed genuine Originium.
[Recharge item detected. Proceed with recharge?]
At that moment, the System's voice chimed in once again.
"Recharge, recharge! I'm ready to spend some crystals! Let's do it all," Rozaliya declared grandly.
She had initially spent nearly three thousand crystals to level up, so this was like getting her money back.
[Recharge successful. Crystals earned: x3600]
-
"Perfect!" Rozaliya glanced at her crystal count. Adding the 300 crystals from the previous event and her remaining stash, she now had a total of 4,200 crystals.
"Oh right, I haven't claimed the reward for the Strong Foe quest yet. There's still that valuable monthly pass to claim too."
