Chapter 80: Titan

Hearing the zombie's voice, Serenade turned to look. It was one of the Joyo-Ninja zombies she had summoned before.

She had summoned two zombies and two Honkai Beasts. The strongest Honkai Beast and zombie had died, while the weaker Joyo-Ninja zombie and the Assault-class Honkai Beast had survived.

"What's the situation?"

"Master, I've spotted the nun army you mentioned at the outskirts. There are fifteen in total, fourteen in nun attire with a knight leading them. I kept my distance for observation, so I couldn't gauge their exact strength, but they feel incredibly powerful."

The Joyo-Ninja zombie lowered its head, responding hastily.

These Joyo-Ninja zombies combined the abilities of ninja with the physical prowess of samurai. Their stealth and reconnaissance skills were exceptional, making them difficult to detect even by those stronger than themselves.

"Give me their exact location and estimated arrival time."

Serenade's demeanor shifted to one of urgency. Though aware the Schicksal Valkyrie Corps was approaching, she hadn't anticipated their arrival so soon.

"Less than an hour."

"An hour..."

Serenade's gaze shifted to the group still playing in the river.

"Everyone, stop playing. Enemies are coming."

"Enemies?"

After Serenade spoke, the people playing in the river immediately stopped moving and turned to look at her.

"Yes, the ones I mentioned earlier... enemies from Schicksal," Serenade nodded calmly, her composed demeanor easing the tension among Kallen and the others.

However... everyone stopped playing and hurried ashore to put on their shoes, standing by Serenade's side.

"I'm sorry... It's all my fault."

Kallen stood next to Serenade, looking somewhat guilty. After all, these people had come for her sake.

"Don't say that... I'm part of you too! Don't worry! Didn't I promise to protect you? And I kept that promise last time. Do you still doubt my strength?" Serenade turned to Kallen with a reassuring smile.

"Right..."

"Where are the enemies now?" Yae Sakura asked, hand resting on her sword at her waist.

"Less than an hour away. Before they arrive... let's prepare a little gift for them." Serenade's smile held an unsettling quality, suggesting it wouldn't be anything good.

"..." Yae Sakura and the others exchanged puzzled glances.

Two summoning cards appeared in Serenade's hand—the very same Titan Summoning Cards she'd purchased but never used. How could she possibly face Schicksal and Valkyries without Titans?

After all, the "Titan Dad" title wasn't earned in vain. It came from punching Valkyries until they became one with the ground.

One could only imagine how many Valkyries the Titan Dads had crushed under their hammers, their hands stained crimson with Valkyrie blood.

Especially the Three Great Families...

Titan Summoning Card:

Randomly summons a Titan. (Probability of summoning a Holy Father Grade Titan: 1/1000; Antimatter Grade: 1/100)

"..."

The probabilities are so small! Even smaller than summoning an SSR-tiered Shinigami with the Itch Rat, which already has a 1% chance... Yet summoning a Holy Father Grade Titan requires a mere 0.1% chance.

But then again, considering the existence of the [MSR-7 Holy Father], it could completely dominate this era's Schicksal...

"Come forth! MSR-7 Holy Father!!"

As two Titan Summoning Cards were activated, the summoning method differed entirely from that of zombies and Honkai Beasts.

A massive black spatial rift, resembling an eye, materialized before Serenade.

It looked utterly terrifying, as if peering into another universe through this fissure. The ability somewhat resembled the Herrscher of the Void's power.

Yet there were distinct differences!

Standing beside Serenade, Yae Sakura and the others were startled by the sudden appearance of the spatial rift. The sensation emanating from this crack... filled them with an overwhelming sense of mortal peril.

If I enter this fissure, the spatial distortion will tear me into fragments.

However, Serenade had warned us beforehand, so we didn't overreact.

As the rift expanded to about seven meters wide, two Titan mechs emerged - each roughly three to four meters tall.

The left Titan was an ordinary model, but Serenade's face lit up at the right one - it was... [Titan Berserker]. A standard [Titan] and a [Titan Berserker]...

Titan

Category: Mechanical

Armor Rating: B

Characteristics: Robotic appearance. Average speed (increases during Berserk state)

Attack Methods: Close-range combat. Can charge attacks. When health is low, enters Berserk state.

Charged Attack: After a medium-length charge, strikes the ground violently. During charging, nearby targets are pulled toward the mech. When the body turns red, close-range attacks against the unit will rebound.

Berserk State: Enters Berserk mode when health is critically low, gaining the Rush ability.

Rush: Charges toward selected target without stopping.

Even ordinary Titan mechs are far more powerful than low-level zombies and Honkai Beasts, as mechs inherently start at a higher baseline.

The Titan mech's strength is formidable; even an S-rank Valkyrie would be sent flying by a fully charged punch from one.

Though merely being sent flying, and its movements are relatively slow.

Then the mech on the right...

Titan Berserker

Armor Rating: A

Characteristics: Similar to Titan mech, but white in appearance. Average mobility (high mobility when berserk).

Attack Methods: Same as Titan mech, but additionally uses Shield Counter.

Shield Counter: By transforming and deploying a forward-facing shield, all incoming damage is nullified and the source of the attack within range is counterattacked.

The primary differences between the Titan Berserker and ordinary Titan mechs are its armor rating and Shield Counter ability.

This armor rating represents damage resistance. Compared to a standard Titan mech, the Titan Berserker's resistance is several times greater, possibly even tenfold.

Its Shield Counter capability allows perfect defense and counterattack against any frontal assault.

Once it activates its shield, forget about dealing any damage from the front unless its shield is depleted.

After the two Titans emerged from the spatial rift, the rift sealed itself shut once more.

The two Titans stood before Serenade, their motionless figures locked in silent observation, as if awaiting her command.

These Titan mechs were products of anti-entropy. They could autonomously engage in combat without human pilots, though manual control was also possible.

For those unskilled in mecha operation, however, it was better to let the machines control themselves.

Serenade was highly satisfied with the summoned mechs, particularly the Titan Berserker. After all, the Valkyries slain by this model could already form a mountain.

The only regret... both were close-combat mechs, lacking any long-range capabilities.
