Celestial could not believe what she was seeing at the moment. She saw Eleanor whose face was so close to Moran's and would have almost kissed him if she hadn't come at that moment.
Seeing her arrival, Moran immediately pushed Eleanor away and walked over to his fiancée.
"Celestial, it's not what you see. I didn't think of doing something like this at all and Eleanor was the one who approached me first," Moran said and then took Celestial's hand.
He grasped both her hands, and looked at her with a very sincere gaze. From his eyes alone, Celestial could tell that what Moran said was indeed true. He did not want to kiss Eleanor, but it was the woman who seemed to insist on it first.
She remembered that this was very different from what happened in the novel. When Celestial caught them kissing, Moran admitted that he liked Eleanor more than Celestial. But here, Moran still said that he loved Celestial more than he cared about Eleanor.
