As I dodged a slash aimed at me, I effortlessly deflected it with my sword. Cersei, not one to back down, quickly covered her blade in mana and launched another attack. However, with a precise counter, I not only reflected her strike but also forced her to drop her weapon.
After my last mission, I realized that some of these assignments would be too much to handle alone. That's why I decided to properly train and equip the companions I'd gained. My first step was to invest in them—I purchased three mana crystals, one for each of them, and also bought copies of [All-Speak] for all three. This left me with only 2,814 credits, but the investment was worth it.
The effects were immediate. Melisandre, whose magic had once been restricted by the gods of Planetos, found herself significantly stronger with the mana crystal. No longer bound by R'hllor's limitations, she could now wield her spells with greater ease. To ensure her continued power, I connected her directly to me, effectively replacing her lost divine link. With that, her magic potential surged beyond what she had ever known.
Rhaella, on the other hand, remained in the castle. I had bigger plans for her—specifically, acquiring a dragon. Valyrian magic was something I wanted to explore, and my goal was to complete a mission that would grant me the opportunity to capture a powerful dragon for her. Until then, she would remain at the castle alongside Melisandre. Despite her newfound enhance magical potential, Melisandre was not a front line combaten.
Cersei, however was different Since this version apparently has skills in swordsmanship. She would occasionally follow me in to missions, which was why I was currently training her. Teaching her to properly harness her new mana was essential.
As we finished the session, Melisandre handed me a water bottle, which I accepted before heading back to my room. Looking through my missions. I wanted to look through an easy mission. I could possibly get to gain some credits since that was the only method that he knew how to get credits.
I scrolled through the list until one caught my eye.
[The Heir of Black – World: Harry Potter]
Synopsis: In the year 2016, Jarris Black, the last male descendant of House Black, lived in an orphanage after the downfall of his family. The Potter family now controlled his ancestral wealth and property. Upon receiving his Hogwarts acceptance letter, he awakened a magic system that allowed him to learn spells ten times faster. Unbeknownst to him, the system was created by Voldemort using a fragment of his own soul, taken from another system user he had killed in the past. Now, Voldemort is slowly taking over his body.
I narrowed my eyes. A system-user in the Wizarding World? And one unknowingly hosting a piece of Voldemort's soul? That explained the "easy" rating—he was dangerous but still vulnerable. If Voldemort was corrupting him, he was likely unstable, making him an easier target.
I checked the mission details.
[Mission Added]

With a tap, I accepted the mission. Immediately, I felt the familiar pull of dimensional travel as the world around me twisted.
When the distortion cleared, I found myself standing on a dimly lit cobblestone street. The sign above me read.
London.
Time to get to work.
-Later-
As I materialized, shadows swirling around me, I found myself standing in a crowded train station. My eyes locked onto my target—a black-haired boy with intense green eyes, dragging his luggage behind him.
Activating [Magic Eye], I analyzed him as he walked. He looked ordinary enough, just another student heading to Hogwarts. But beneath that, I could sense something… off. His magic fluctuated unnaturally, a clear sign of his system's interference.
I followed at a distance as he approached Platform 9¾. He pushed his cart toward the magical barrier, his luggage already beginning to phase through.
I didn't wait.
In a single motion, I pulled out a pistol, aimed, and fired.
BANG!
The bullet tore through his skull, blood splattering across the brick wall. Screams erupted around me as people turned in horror. Half of Jarris's luggage had already vanished through the wall, leaving behind a surreal scene a dead boy slumped against the barrier.
Without hesitation, I grabbed his corpse, shoving it into my [Inventory] before raising my gun again.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
I fired indiscriminately into the crowd, sowing chaos. Panic spread like wildfire—people screamed, ducked, and ran. It would look like nothing more than a terrorist attack, a random act of violence.
Satisfied, I activated [Dimensional Travel].
The world distorted around me, the train station vanishing in an instant.
When the darkness lifted, I was back in my room.
Mission complete.
As I approached the table in my room, I pulled the boy's corpse from my [Inventory], letting it drop onto the surface with a dull thud. His lifeless eyes stared at the ceiling, but I wasn't interested in his corpse—I was interested in what came next.
Almost immediately, a purple shard emerged from his chest, pulsing with malevolent energy. It flickered, attempting to escape, but I was faster.
I snatched it mid-air, feeling the dark energy within it squirm against my grip. With a flick of my fingers, I crushed it.
The shard shattered into nothingness.
A wave of energy rushed through me as notifications flooded my vision.
[System Fragment Fusing with Host]
[New System Functions Unlocked: Status | Skill Tree]
A grin spread across my face.
I immediately pulled up my [Status], curious to see how much I had changed since my first mission.
As the notification faded, a surge of energy coursed through Edric's body. His system had evolved again.
He immediately opened the new functions.

Good to know, I have pretty good stats he thought.
Looking down at the table, he noticed the lifeless body of Jarris Black had already started to lose its warmth. Now that the mission was complete, he had no use for the corpse. With a flick of his wrist, the body disappeared back into his inventory he'd figure out what to do with it later.
For now, he needed to test out the Skill Tree and see what new powers he could unlock.
Opening the menu, he scanned through the available options:
[Shadow Mastery] (Enhances all shadow-based abilities)
[Mana Efficiency] (Reduces mana consumption for spells and abilities)
[Executioner's Instinct] (Increases damage when attacking from stealth)
[Dimensional Anchor] (Prevents targets from escaping via teleportation)
[Reality Rend] (A high-tier skill that destabilizes a small area of reality, weakening enemies caught in it)
Each skill required experience points or rare materials to unlock. Unfortunately, he didn't have enough resources to get anything significant yet.
"Tch." He decided the last thing was just to check his rewards from the mission he completed.
[Mission Complete: Eliminate Jarris Black]
Rewards: 7,500 Credits, Dark Spellbook (Advanced), Bloodline Essence: House Black
What the fuck is the last item he thought a swirling black and silver orb floated in my palm, radiating an ominous energy.
Decided to look at it later as he put it back in his inventory.
