1.2.The Duke's Villainous Wife

NOOOOO!!!!! MR.SECOND MALE LEAD , YOU AREN'T SUPPOSED TO SAY THIS TO ME BUT THE HEROINE.

This was Roseane's thoughts. Second male lead going off the script bother her extremely but she couldn't openly reject him due to obsession meter rising.

" Ofcourse, an enchanting beauty like you could only belong to me, aren't you my dear hubby ? " Roseane said closing the gap between her and him . A seductive smile playing on her lips as she wrapped her arms arounds his neck .

Outwardly she appeared composed and flirty, but only she knew how much she was panicking internally.

Please, please, please push me away.

She hoped ,no, she prayed for him to push her away finding her behaviour outrageous and her presence obnoxious.

Contrary to her expectations, he wrapped his arms around her waist , pulling her even closer to him , eliminating any space for air to pass between them.

" Yes , I am the only enchanting beauty, you could pay attention to, dear wifey . If your attention diverts from me then...." He didn't complete his sentence but his eyes told everything.

Roseane gulped wanting to back away but her position wasn't favourable. She knew the unfinished part of the sentence. She had read about this scene which happened between him and the heroine. But why was he saying this to her ?

Maintaining his lovely smile, he placed a small kiss on her forehead. Slowly, he begun undoing her dress strings behind her back.

Roseane shivered when his cold hands brushed against her warm skin . His eyes never leaving hers as he undid her clothes. She tried looking away, focussing her gaze at anything but him .

" Eyes on me, dear . Your attention is mine, so are you ." He said lowly, his deep voice luring her like a siren . The area underneath her ears where his lips brushed by still felt hot .As she looked up, she was met with his hot gaze , fully focused on her .

The movements slow yet seductive. Patiently, he took off every cloth and accessories she was wearing until she was in nothing but white chemise and stockings hiding her milky white body.

Even though it wasn't her real body , his fiery and hot gaze stationed in her , made her extremely self conscious. Out of embarrassment and shame, she quickly covered her chest . Blush spread all over her face .

" Y... you look.. away" she tried ordering him but her voice came out as a request.

He chuckled, his focus more magnifying on her .

" I never knew, my lady can be so cute and adorable. There is no need to hide. One day or the other we will consummate our marriage, forever becoming one. And I will see everything, exploring every hidden part of yours , my dear".

" Shameless! " She scolded looking away.

He chuckled, walking towards the wardrobe and grabbing a night dress for her . He helped her with it too .

Roseane was dumbfounded when he suddenly took off his upper garments revealing his well defined muscular torso. His abs were extremely eye catching. She never thought he will be this muscular. His androgynous beauty really tricked her.

Roseane eyes travelled along his veiny arms . His untied long silver hair adding to his charms. She has never seen such a fine man ; not even kpop idols , anime characters or manhwa leads come close to his beauty.

He could feel her intense gaze fixated on him and he was enjoying it . Her attention, her affection, her anger , everything should only be darted at him and him only.

" Are you enjoying the view , darling? " He asked with a teasing smirk, mischief brewing in his eyes . He was well aware about the effect he was having on her and he was loving it .

" Yeahhh...I mean NO!..no...I mean..m. ." Roseane was conflicted as well as flustered. In embarassment she burried her face in her palms. Hearing him chuckle, she became more embarrassed.

She almost shrieked when he suddenly picked her up in bridal carry. Grinning ear to ear , he held her tight as he said ,

" Let's go to sleep".

Her eyes widened in shock.

" Are we sleeping together?!...in the same bed !!? "

" Yes~ " Sparing no time for Roseane to object,he went to the bed with her still cuddled in his arms. When she tried to move away from him , he pulled her closer by her waist . Her breath hitched when she bumped into his chest . There was no space left between them. She couldn't move away from him , as his arms possessively wrapped around her waist, prohibiting her from breaking away from him .

" T.. this is t..to close" Roseane stammered, her cheeks turning red . She wanted to convince him to let her go but failed.

He chuckled, caressing her back . His eyes never leaving her cute blushing face .

" It's normal among married couple, dear. A time will come when there will be no space at all – two naked bodies cuddled against each othe— "

" SHUT UPP !!! " She quickly placed her hands against his lips disrupting his words as red hue coated her face . " Shameless man !! You are not allowed to speak anymore." She sternly instructed him .

Glint of mischief was visible in his eyes . Slightly opening his mouth he licked her palm . As if electrified, she quickly pulled back her hand.

" YOU—

" Goodnight wifey, sweet dreams."

As Roseane expected the tales of pervious night had reached into the duchess's ears. Contrary to the tense environment she expected , she was greeted with fairly peaceful breakfast time except one thing – the duchess kept throwing pitiful glances at her . She didn't understand the reason behind it. But she didn't have the time to ponder over it .

Her attention was gravitated by him . He kept holding her hand refusing to let go . He kept caressing and playing with her left hand with his right hand while using his left hand for eating. Roseane never knew he could eat with his left hand , she has always seen him eating with his right hand.

Duke and Duchess Crawford looked at each other then at the young couple infront of them with unease.

As the carriage departed, Duchess Crawford moved closer towards Roseane.

" Follow me inside , Roseane, I have something important to discuss with you ".

Roseane nodded following the duchess inside.

" Roseane, I will advice you to be cautious around my son . I know you both like each other but you are a naive girl , you don't know my son well . He is not what he seems".

" Pardon!" Roseane was dumbfounded . She thought duchess will reprimand her but rather duchess is saying something, Roseane finds hard to believe.

" It will be better if you could divorce him. He isn't what he seems like. He is sinister, he is evil . Please be cautious around him . It is the only advice,I could give you." Duchess Crawford said, getting up from her seat as she left with her maid following behind.

Roseane was left speechless. She felt conflicted. She felt bad for duchess.

If she had known, her dear son was in my family's captive and was abused by me , she wouldn't have treated me so nicely.

Roseane felt extremely guilty .

Tension hung in the carriage. The once lively and bright eyes glowing with happiness were now lifeless and cold . The morph was so fast that it sent chills .

Rhyser sat facing his father but his attention wasn't on his father. Memories of the past kept playing in his mind.

" Rhyser, I believe you should let that child go. She is naive, she doesn't know about our twisted world. We followed every wishes of yours , we allowed you to be with her for all this years . We never interfered, but this is getting too much . You know, I know, how sinister your soul is. Don't corrupt her . She is innocent. Let her leave. Do not drag her into your twisted games " Duke Crawford was hesitant but still conveyed his thoughts. Hoping his son to hear his advice.

But he forget how stubborn his son is

" Father, you wouldn't want this entire kingdom to crumble right ? " Rhyser's eye had an eerie glow in it . Duke Crawford gulped as he quickly shook his head. " So mind your damn business. If you dare to come between me and her , you will be responsible for the consequences the empire will suffer from ".

Duke Crawford gulped haphazardly nodding , he was very well aware of the abilities his son was capable of , after all his son was the reincarnation of Duke Crawford's grandfather , Shyzer , who didn't hesitate to burn down the empire because of his wife.

The way how Rhyser resembled Shyzer , really bothered him . Rhyser too was following the same trajectory as his great grandfather. And it wasn't a good sign for both the Crawford Duchy and Naverine Empire.

Roseane calmly sat beside the huge window, gently turning over the romance novel's page , she got from the Crawford Duchy library.

She had heard the announcement regarding Duke Crawford and Rhyser's arrival. She even heard the hurried movements of the servants to greet them . But Roseane didn't bother herself with it . In the original novel, original owner never bother to greet Rhyser , so why would she ? She had no interest in going against the plot.

She continued to drown herself in the novel she found in the library. She was so focused that she missed the hurried steps followed by the creaking of door .

She almost yelped loudly when she was pulled into bridal carry. The novel slipped from her hands falling onto the floor with a thud . Out of reflex , she hugged his neck .

" What are you doing? " She cried out .

" Carrying my wife . I missed you so much . Every moment without you felt like centuries. I hope you also missed me ". He asked with hopeful eyes .

Initially, Roseane shook her head . She didn't miss, him her mind was drowned in the novel.

But the blaring alarms of the system forced her to quickly change her answer.

" I didn't only miss you but missed you very much . I kept imagining us to be together".

She breathed in relief when the obsession meter stabilized at 25% .

" Really!!! I missed you too . " He said flooding her face with pecks after pecks .

Finally controlling his excitement, he sat back at the couch , pulling Roseane into his lap . He wrapped his arms around her waist, confining her to him . She tried getting out but his arms restrained from doing so . With no way out, she gave up .

" No need to be shy wifey , there is only you and me . We can do more than this if you want ". He whispered, his hot breath fanning against her skin ,it sent shivers deep down her spine. She blushed, feeling his actions getting more outrageous and sensual.

" Shameless" she scolded him .

" Only for you , wifey ." A deep laugh rumbled from his chest . He was savoring each reaction he was getting from her.

Resting his head on her shoulder, he said , " I'm a lot less shameless than most of the world, wifey. People are still hitting one me even after knowing that I am a married man , wed to you . Do you know the saintess of the empire wrote me a letter seeking a private audience from me ? Should a saintess behave like this ? How shameful and outrageous !". He ranted.

Roseane: "...."]

Roseane didn't know whether to cry or laugh.

How could the second male lead call the heroine shameless? This is pure violation.
