"It seems that witch was right" Dianne scoffed. Raising a pale forearm, she wiped off the blood that marred her wrinkled face.
"TO think that after all these years". Dianne shook her head in disappointment.
"I am still not able to control my bloodlust".
Surrounding the old vampire were the corpses of twelve Magnitians soldiers; each of them bearing a different expression but sharing the same pale skin.
"Regardless it seems I have finally found the creature that will finally satiate my thirst this time around". The golden blade twirled in a wrinkled hand and in one leap the old woman was gone, leaving a long trail of blood and broken trees…
"What do you mean? Queen Flowyria asked the fidgeting guard.
The guard bowed even lower while replying. "The hunters and soldiers weren't able to track the magic beast that committed the killings".
"Damn! The queen hit the throne's arm rest. "How could any magic beast have the effrontery to enter my kingdom and hunt".
"You don't need to fret so much your highness". A distinguished voice comforted from the doorway.
"And why is that Hamilton? The queen asked with a frown.
The tall brown eyed elf from the door chuckled. "Its prey were nothing more than five bandits which had been doing nothing but killing and robbing the good people of Alchemyr.
"I don't give a dwarf's beard about those criminals". The queen waved her right arm to show emphasis. "My problem is that a Magical beast dared HUNT IN MY KINGDOM!
"Soldier!
"Your highness? The lanky guard bowed in front of the throne.
"Gather my hounds and alert the Seed that I will be needing their best bow". The queen's teeth then flashed in a wicked smile. "After this meeting, I will be going hunting".
"I don't think that will be possible" Hamilton pointed out. "Since it's very likely that the vile beast must have left this kingdom in order to escape your wrath".
The queen shook her head on hearing that. "There is no place on this realm where I can't hunt".
Hamilton agreed and stood at his queen's side as two guards opened the doors wide to welcome the incoming guests.
To Hamilton's surprise however, only Alicia came for the Sun. The other three orders of the Phoenix were also represented by one of their leaders.
Cassandra for the Night, Redneck for the Twilight and finally the cloudy eyed seer whose name he found out to be Eveningtide.
But the visitors didn't end there, far from it; trooping in with an entourage of their own was Redbeard the dwarven king, King Ronald of Magnitia and Hawthorn, representing his mother Tulip who was going to be absent due to some personal reasons.
"ON behalf of Elyria". The queen stood on to her feet. "I welcome you all to this meeting". Her guests nodded in appreciation and took their seats at the large table; which had been brought here from the queen's conference room.
She had originally wanted to host the meeting there but decided against it since it had a very scary ambiance due to the massive dark curtains, weapon racks and maps decorating it.
The meeting began immediately she took her seat at the table's end which left her facing Alicia directly while the kings of Magnitia and Klaustia sat on her right and left respectively.
"We are sorry if this meeting had inconvenienced any of you". Alicia bowed. "But the news we wish to relay is far too important and urgent for us to discuss at another time".
The supreme paused for a second before she stared at the table's center with two glowing eyes.
In an instant a white scroll appeared, not wasting anyone's time. Alicia picked it up and began to read out the contents.
"What I just listed is the number and location of demons we had eliminated in recent weeks, what I want you all to take home from this data, is that more work needs to be done, because it seems that the enemy has infiltrated our kingdoms on every level.
These demons were mostly found in Magnitia and but it has been brought to my notice that a devil had been sighted in Klaustia just yesterday which has led us to believe that it must be the fiend who had orchestrated the attack on the Twilight grove.
"But not to worry we at the Sun are intensifying our search in finding and eliminating the creature".
"However, there is another issue that King Ronald had brought to my notice on arriving here".
Alicia gave a nod towards the king.
King Ronald's obsidian eyes twinkled in understanding and began.
"Yesterday, some hunters searching for deer on our border were met with a shocking sight. Twelve Magnitian soldier's bodies were littered around; bones broken while their skin had taken on a very pale look. So pale that it looked like...
"Their blood was sucked away". Eveningtide completed while he stared upwards as though the ceiling held answers to the problem currently facing them.
"That's a little bit similar to the five bandits who were mauled here two days ago". Queen Flowyria added. "I had originally concluded that it must have been a wild Magical beast that had gone hunting".
"Though I found the fact that the bodies weren't eaten, shocking".
"I hope it's not what I think it is". Cassandra shivered.
"I'm afraid this is the work of a Vampire". Alicia calmly said. "I won't lie that it doesn't sound strange since we had gotten rid of those bloodsuckers centuries ago".
"What of if they're more out there? Redneck scratched his neck in fear.
"You don't have to worry". Cassandra smirked. "After all, Vampires only feed on human and elven blood though it has been said they prefer the former".
"Vampire or beast". The elven queen struck the table with her fist. "SO long it bleeds".
"I will have its head".
"Don't do anything rash" Evening tide advised. "The Night should be able to handle this one".
All heads turned towards Cassandra who crossed her arms. "I know, but not to worry there is someone in the Night who is built for hunting"
Seeing that the elven queen wasn't pleased with that idea Cassandra allayed her fears. "Don't worry he'll join you in the hunt".
"I do hope it's the one you call 'Panther' ".
"Why? Alicia asked.
"I would like to gauge his strength level myself". The queen laughed. "And see whether the stories are true".
The rest of the leaders only sighed and the meeting continued with them arguing and proffering solutions to the demon issue.
Strangely Queen Flowyria was silent save for the time where she brought up the interrogation of the elven traitors,.
For the rest of the meeting however, her mind had traveled somewhere else, no it was in the hunt that she hoped would finally be the one that could prove to be a challenge.
