The new stat scaling system is an adaptation of the classic Fate parameter ranking system, enhanced with additional refinements for progression and subtlety development. Below is an explanation of how the modified system works, emphasizing the role of intermediate ranks (+, ++, and +++)

Core Ranking System (E to EX)

Ranks: Start at E (weakest) and progress through D, C, B, A, and S, culminating at EX (god-like power).

S to S+++: These tiers represent peak mortal limits just below the exceptional abilities that are outside of the numerical ranking scale EX.

Intermediate Ranks (+, ++, +++)

Intermediate ranks provide a more precise measure of improvement within each rank:

These markers indicate incremental progress within a rank. For example, D++ shows noticeable improvement from D, but the stat hasn't yet reached the peak of the rank.

Represents the highest possible level within a rank. When a stat reaches +++, it is on the verge of advancing to the next rank. For instance, D+++ is just below C.

Stat Progression and Scaling

Each rank (E to EX) reflects Shido's base capabilities. The "+" or "++" notation acts as intermediate thresholds that mark minor milestones within each rank, showing incremental development. When he reaches the highest possible progression in that rank (e.g., D+++), it prepares him for a promotion to the next higher rank (in this case, to C).

E to EX Rank System (Core System):

The base ranks begin at E (weakest) and progress to EX (highest), where EX represents exceptional abilities that are outside of the numerical ranking scale. As for the "+" markers, these function similarly to "sub-grades," where you incrementally get closer to fully mastering a level before moving to the next major rank.
