"Father of our fathers, help me lead your warriors well. Give me light in this world full of darkness so I don't lose my mind and make mistakes." Inside a helicopter, Dante closed his eyes while holding a long assault rifle.
"Do not let me fall into fury, even though my enemies are at my heels."
What Dante was about to do had no rational basis—he would be acting with minimal reasoning, letting himself be carried away by the extent of his rage.
His inner darkness, which he only unleashed upon his enemies, would be completely out of control.
Everything he had fought so hard to keep hidden was now more than willing to cause massacres.
"What is the Predator Plan?" Jamie asked, watching as Dante received doses of morphine to lessen the pain from his wounds.
Dante looked up. The operators beside him remained silent as he explained, "Our family has enemies. As you can see, I have them too. But they don't know my face, so if we're attacked, it means they are enemies of our family."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean I will kill every enemy of our family until I find the bastard who dared to attack us." Dante's cold words were interrupted by a soldier beside him.
"Boss, we've been informed that all members of your family have been attacked."
Dante's cold expression did not change. The glint in his eyes remained steady as he said, "Let's go to my brother's ranch—it's the closest."
"Understood."
…
Kayce's Private Ranch
It was early in the morning, and the day seemed to be going well.
Kayce had gotten up at dawn to feed the horses and check that all the sensors were in perfect condition. After all, predators still roamed the ranch's surroundings.
So far, Kayce's family seemed to have adapted well, which made him feel much more at ease. The only problem he saw was the family of Monica's late brother. For some reason, one of the children's comments had gotten into their mother's head.
"I don't know how to solve that problem…" Kayce murmured as he headed back home to grab a bite before his wife left for the reservation to teach.
But at that moment, just as he was about to arrive, his smartwatch—configured solely to emit a signal—vibrated on his wrist.
"Monica, take our son to that room, now." Kayce's urgent shout sparked an unease in Monica. She immediately stopped cooking and took their son to the room she knew.
When Kayce entered, he grabbed a rifle from the wall and said, "Stay here, don't come out."
"What's going on?" Monica grabbed Kayce's arm just as he was about to leave and warn the others to hide.
"I think we're in danger. I'll explain later." Kayce left the cabin, ran to the other cabin, and said, "Everyone, get down, now!"
"What are you talking about?" Samantha Long looked at Kayce, confused. She had been planning to return to the reservation after finding a more comfortable place to live.
Here, she never felt at ease. She didn't want to burden Kayce, who was the one providing all the money. Samantha knew this was because of Robert—there was no way he could take care of her and her three children if he hadn't been involved in Robert's death.
Monica knew it too, but there was no guilt in her heart.
Her brother's actions led to his death, and that had nothing to do with Kayce, who had worked tirelessly every day of his life in the reservation to provide for her and their son.
"Don't talk. Everyone, go into a room and hide." Kayce didn't know if they were targets, but if his family had been attacked and the Predator Plan was activated, it meant this was more than a single assault. And as a Dutton, he couldn't escape his family's problems.
"Is something wrong?"
"Just listen to me."
Samantha took her youngest children's hands. She was about to hide when an explosion echoed nearby, followed by bursts of gunfire hitting the cabin.
"Get down!"
Bullets struck the walls, splintering the wood.
Debris flew everywhere from the blast point. However, before the shooting even started, Kayce had already rolled to the side to get out of the way.
"Mom!"
When Kayce looked back, he saw Samantha had been shot in the abdomen.
"Don't move."
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The gunfire continued.
Kayce rushed to Samantha, applying pressure to her wound while shielding the children and doing his best to keep them from getting hurt.
"Send them back to my parents—they will take care of my children…" Samantha whispered before losing consciousness.
Kayce knew it was only a matter of time before she died from blood loss.
He leaned against the wall, taking a deep breath as he gripped his rifle, waiting for the right moment to strike back.
He had to hold out until his brother arrived to help.
Bang!
A single shot rang out amidst the chaos.
It was incredibly loud.
"Ahhh! My leg! My leg…" The screams became clearer.
It had to be SAMCRO!
Kayce knew his brother Dante had done everything in his power to protect their family, so there were probably operators near his location.
In an instant, the enemy fire stopped as explosions erupted from another direction.
Without hesitation, Kayce pulled the trigger from the shadows.
Bang! Bang!
Two shots fired.
However, despite the external reinforcements, the battle was far from over.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
At the same time, explosions—likely from grenades—echoed, followed by more gunfire.
Kayce noticed something strange—the gunfire sounded silenced and far more precise.
"Drop your weapons! Surrender!"
When Kayce heard those words, he peeked through a bullet hole and saw SAMCRO operators outside, aiming at the attackers who had arrived in white trucks.
"Don't move," Kayce said to the children before stepping out of the cabin, still holding his rifle.
"They're all subdued, Kayce."
Crocodile approached from another direction, followed by eight men dressed in high-grade tactical gear.
"Who are these people?"
"Enemies of your family. My boss's identity is well protected, so if you were attacked, it was because of the Dutton name. Reports say everyone has been targeted."
"I'm going for my family…" Kayce murmured, but before leaving, he pointed to the cabin and said, "A woman is dead, she was shot. There are three children inside."
"We'll take care of them. Don't worry," Crocodile said, glancing at the five mercenaries who had surrendered.
