The villa stood out against the backdrop of blue skies and white clouds, with its ornately carved iron gate opening onto a well-manicured garden, and a winding path leading to a luxurious three-story building. Young Kahn looked at the familiar scene before him, a complex expression on his face. He had been a guest at this villa before.
"I was a guest here a few years ago! I thought he had moved away, but it seems he still lives here," Young Kahn whispered, a hint of tension and excitement in his voice.
The three exchanged glances, and Old Kahn nodded, an unspoken understanding in his eyes. They decided that Young Kahn would approach Oren as an old friend and tentatively start a conversation with him.
Young Kahn rang the doorbell, and after a moment, a maid in a neat uniform opened the door, eyeing them.
"Hello, I'm Kahn, a friend of Oren's. I'm here to visit him today," Young Kahn said in a calm tone.
The maid nodded, "Oh, it's Kahn! It's been a while since you last came. I didn't recognize you at first with the shaved head. Please wait a moment, I'll call Mr. Oren." Soon, Oren emerged, dressed in an elegant black suit, his demeanor composed. Upon seeing Kahn, a flicker of surprise crossed his eyes.
"Kahn! It's been years since we last met. What have you been up to? What brings you by today?" Oren's voice carried a note of pleasant surprise and curiosity, clearly unaware of anything amiss.
Young Kahn smiled faintly, "There are some matters I'd like to discuss with you in person. Do you have time?"
Oren nodded, casually waving his hand, "Of course, of course, come on in."
They entered the villa, passing through a corridor adorned with exquisite decorations, and arrived at a spacious living room. Everything here exuded extreme luxury: expensive carpets, oil paintings, sculptures, and a set of gleaming silver tea service displayed in the center of the table.
Oren gestured for him to sit down and poured a cup of tea, handing it to Kahn, "What have you been busy with lately? It's been a while since I last saw you. You're not one to visit without reason; it seems there must be something important. Go ahead, tell me."
Young Kahn took the teacup, hesitated for a moment, and finally spoke, "Oren, I've come to you today because there's a very serious matter I need to tell you."
Oren's brow furrowed, a look of confusion appearing on his face, "What is it?"
Young Kahn put down the teacup, took a deep breath, and looked up at Oren directly, "This may be hard for you to believe, but you must listen to me carefully. In the future, ten years from now, our Oklara planet will be devastated by a catastrophic nuclear war. 99% of the population will perish, and you... you are the key figure who will trigger this disaster. I will survive in the future and return here with a child in a time machine to prevent this catastrophe."
Upon hearing this, Oren burst into laughter, his face filled with disbelief and contempt, "Kahn, are you here to joke with me? What future, what nuclear war? A time machine? Are you trying to scare me?"
"I'm dead serious, Oren," Young Kahn said earnestly, trying to convince him.
However, Oren shook his head, still dismissive, "Come on, Kahn. Do you really expect me to believe such a ridiculous story?"
Young Kahn realized that Oren wouldn't easily believe him, so he turned to the door and said, "Do you want evidence? I'll show you."
With that, he opened the door and said to the people outside, "Come in," and Old Kahn and Rakien entered the living room. Old Kahn silently took off his hat and stood beside Young Kahn.
Oren was instantly stunned, his gaze fixed on Old Kahn, then back to Young Kahn, too shocked to speak. Seeing Old Kahn's face, identical to his friend's, his mouth opened slightly, but no sound came out. It was the Kahn he knew so well, but this Kahn was much older than the young Kahn, with temples already tinged with gray and eyes filled with the weight of years.
"This... this can't be..." Oren was almost speechless, his voice trembling.
Old Kahn stood in the center of the living room, nodding gently, his eyes resolute as he looked at Oren, "This is not an illusion, Oren. I am Kahn from the future. We have traveled back from 2103 to this year, 2077, to prevent an irreversible nuclear war that will destroy the world in ten years from now, and you are the key figure in it."
Oren's face turned pale, his lips trembling, and he was speechless. Seeing this, Young Kahn continued, "Remember the child I mentioned earlier?" He pointed at Rakien.
Oren stared blankly at Rakien, his eyes filled with confusion and bewilderment.
"This child... is your reincarnation!" Young Kahn whispered, "In the future, you initiated the war and died in the nuclear blast, and he... he is the child born after your soul was reincarnated, and he is already 15 years old."
Oren felt dizzy from these words, almost unable to accept this absurd reality. However, Rakien stood up and spoke in an extremely calm tone, "Oren, I have seen your past in my dreams. You studied a top-secret project in the military, which was about extraterrestrial beings... You should have never mentioned it to anyone, but I know because I saw it in my dream."
Oren's face turned even paler, and he took a deep breath, his gaze fixed on Rakien, "What are you saying...?"
Rakien continued, "You could never tell anyone about the existence of these top-secret studies, but I know because I saw the memory in my dream. These are the memories left from my past life, and you are the one who will destroy the world in the future."
Hearing this, Oren's breathing became rapid, and he seemed to fall into a state of extreme shock and unease. He didn't want to believe it, but all the details matched the facts, which made him start to waver.
"Is... is all of this true?" Oren asked in a low voice, filled with confusion and fear.
Old Kahn sighed, walked up to Oren, placed his hand on his shoulder, and looked at him with eyes full of pain and helplessness, "Yes, Oren. It's all true, and everything we are doing now is to prevent that disaster from happening."
Oren slumped back into his chair, covering his face with both hands, clearly overwhelmed by the information. This man, who had always been confident and decisive, now appeared so helpless and vulnerable.
After a long silence, he slowly came to his senses and accepted the unbelievable reality. "What should I do?" he murmured in a low voice, "How can we prevent all of this?"
Young Kahn went to his side and said softly, "We will help you, we will find a way together, to change the future!"
Oren looked up, his eyes flickering with complex emotions.
