Acts of Kindness

They contacted the hypnotherapist and, with her help, participated in some public spiritual practice activities.

Spiritual practice became a part of their daily lives. During a group hypnosis session, Rakien saw a scene from his past life: Oren, as a soldier, had participated in a brutal war, killing innocents and committing unforgivable sins. Through communication with the "higher self" in hypnosis, Oren explained the karmic obstacles of the soul: "The killings of a past life will turn into the sufferings of this life, no one can escape the law of cause and effect."

"The sins of each life will follow into the next until they are repaid in full."

The hypnotherapist further explained that the awakening of the soul is a long process, and only through the experiences of reincarnation can these karmic obstacles be eventually cleared. She reminded Rakien, "Karmic obstacles are inevitable, you cannot escape your own sins, you can only face them and gradually dissolve them through acts of kindness." These words were like a sharp sword piercing Oren's heart. He realized that he had been filled with the pursuit of power and desire, completely ignoring the true meaning of the soul.

It was after this hypnosis session that everyone decided to give up all material desires and join the team in combating evil, promoting good, and spiritual practice. They began to comprehend the truths of the universe: all things have spirits, and the cycle of life and death is real. The actions of people in one life, whether good or evil, will determine their future destiny.

"The purification of the soul requires time and awakening," the hypnotherapist concluded, believing that practice is not only for personal growth but also for the betterment of the entire planet. As more people begin to awaken and pursue acts of kindness and spirituality, the future of Oklara may change fundamentally due to collective awakening.

All of this led Rakien and his team to decide to start with themselves. They abandoned all meat and from then on refused to eat any meat. "Animals also have spirits, and they go through reincarnation and life and death like us," Betty said with deep feeling.

From then on, everyone followed a vegetarian diet and meditated before going to bed every night, hoping to improve their spiritual cognition, break free from dependence on material things, and move towards a higher spiritual realm.

They firmly believed that by helping others, they could dissolve the karmic obstacles accumulated in past lives and pass on the power of good deeds to more people.

Thus, a bold idea gradually took shape within the team: to create a purely public welfare rescue organization named "Blue Sky Rescue."

The philosophy of Blue Sky Rescue stems from the reverence for life and the desire to help. Rakien decided that this organization would not pursue any material return, and every participant would contribute selflessly, helping those in need due to natural disasters or other predicaments. Oren proposed the team's first goal: "Establish rescue teams in major cities across Averland, so that wherever there is a need for help, the figure of Blue Sky Rescue will be there."

Although Rakien and the team members were not sure if this idea could succeed, they still persevered in their preparations. At first, they only used limited resources to contact like-minded friends to participate in this cause. However, they did not expect that this purely public welfare rescue organization would quickly attract a large number of volunteers to join.

"We have received hundreds of application forms," Betty said in surprise. "Not only ordinary citizens, but also many professionals from various industries." Doctors, engineers, veterans, retired firefighters - these people have applied to join Blue Sky Rescue, willing to contribute their professional skills and time to this public welfare cause. Even some conscientious entrepreneurs voluntarily donated funds and equipment to support the development of the organization.

The scale of Blue Sky Rescue expanded rapidly, and the organizational structure became more refined.

A few months later, the border city of Averland, City A, was hit by a rare storm, which is located on the edge of an old industrial city that has long been in disrepair, now become a slum, and the government is indifferent to the disaster.

The storm has been going on for a whole month, and the sky seems to be pressed down by thick clouds, making it hard to breathe. The rain pours down mercilessly, turning the streets into muddy rivers, and the raindrops beat on every window as if the earth is crying. The riverbanks within the city have issued multiple warnings, but this morning, the news from the broadcast made everyone's hearts hang in their throats - the riverbanks are starting to crack, and the water level is approaching the warning line.

The distant mountains are hidden in the fog of the storm, as if posing a silent threat at the end of the world. The Blue Sky Rescue team received a call for help and immediately went to the villages downstream, where the villagers are trapped in the surging floods, at risk of being swept away by the torrent at any moment.

"Mission critical, change the assembly location to the south side of the riverbank, prepare equipment immediately!" As the rescue team leader, Old Kahn issued orders through the walkie-talkie, his voice unusually calm amidst the noisy rain.

The sound of hurried footsteps came from the newly built rescue center corridor, and the team members quickly put on their rescue gear in the cramped storage room, helmets, life jackets, waterproof boots... The rain beat on the iron roof, like the steps of thousands of soldiers and horses.

"The weather is not good, the road ahead may have been washed away by the flood, everyone must maintain communication at all times." Deputy team leader Max checked the drone equipment to ensure they could work normally under bad weather conditions.

The rescue convoy started, passing through the city in the storm, with rows of waterproof lights illuminating the dim road ahead. Old Kahn sat in the driver's seat, gripping the steering wheel tightly, his gaze focused. The world outside the window was blurred by the rain, and the distant lightning split the sky, briefly lighting up the ground as if it were daylight.

"How is the situation now?" Max looked out of the window from the co-driver's seat, both hands holding the communication device.

"According to real-time monitoring from the drone, the riverbank at the village entrance is collapsing rapidly, and the villagers have already started to evacuate, but many are still trapped in low-lying areas." Rakien quickly reported, speaking rapidly. "Our primary task is to get into the village as soon as possible and evacuate the villagers."

Upon reaching the outskirts of the village, the storm became even more violent. Rainwater mixed with mud and sand poured down from the hillsides, and the floodwaters, like a raging beast, devoured roads and fields. The team quickly got out of the vehicles, equipped themselves neatly, exchanged gestures, and rushed into the rain curtain.

"There's a family trapped here!" Betty stood at the front of the team, shouting loudly. The soil under his feet had already begun to loosen, and the water flow was rapid, almost sweeping his feet into the torrent.

"Hold on, don't panic! Quickly secure yourself with a safety rope!" Max rushed forward, handing the rescue rope to George.

The villagers huddled in the low-lying huts, fear spreading across their faces. The water had already reached their knees, and with the continuous rain, the water level was rising rapidly. Several children clung tightly to their mother's hand, their eyes filled with terror.

"We're here to save you!" Rakien soothed the villagers while directing the team to set up a simple escape passage. The team members quickly set up planks to help the villagers one by one cross the dangerous area.

Suddenly, a loud noise came from the riverbank, and the floodwaters roared in like a beast, breaking through the stone wall at the village entrance.

"Leave now! Leave now!" Rakien forcefully pulled the last elderly person out of the house, with the torrent already within reach behind them.

The team quickly pulled the villagers into the rescue vehicle, closed the doors, and the massive floodwaters, carrying debris, rushed over, swallowing the area. A moment later, the amphibious rescue vehicles slowly surfaced, carrying everyone away from the village.
