Chapter 1.4: Ascended

Slowly, Marcus along his in progress increasing team, we're receiving more tasks.

The missions they completed, made them be more and more with the pass of the years, be more and more recognized with honor for their bravery, their skills, their capabilities, and for who they were.

Despite the slow increase of difficulty in the missions they receive, they continued trying their best, and giving all they got.

Their showdown on their missions, called the attention of the high charges of humanity, who after the team obtained a high amount of recognition, their prestige was finally officially recognized by the leaders of humanity.

The Alpha Union, formed by the main countries of Earth; and The Beta Council, formed by specific people who got selected by their tactician skills, their intelligence, their superior mental capabilities, and their status in society.

In 4 March of 2140, Marcus and his team was on an expedition on Sashada, a new planet, identified in a nearby nebulous of their galaxy, inside a constellation of stars and meteors.

During this expedition, they got a sudden communication that interrupted their mission. They were needed immediately for an unknown reason. As always, the leaders kept everything in secret, without explanations.

They instantly retrieved, but the time they needed to come back for assist, was of exactly 35 hours, 22 minutes, and 09 seconds.

They had to go through rings of meteors, different constellations of stars, and even encounters with spaceships of other races.

Their journey of retreat was already a challenge of survival. Once they arrived, they were instantly received by high rank guards, more exactly, few of the Beta Team Force. One of the most prestigious, honored, recognized teams of humanity.

After a while of being escorted, they end entering to a big meeting room, where is a big circular table, but only one person sitting there.

This person was a near old lady, who invites them to take a seat, so they do. After sitting, the lady congratulates them for their efforts during all the time they served for humanity, and tells them the reason why they were called. They were being promoted with honor to a higher rank of recognition.

While a guard suddenly entered, and started giving something to each of Marcus' team member, the lady continued explaining something else. Marcus was going to be promoted to General of Special Forces. The lady also told that there was an important mission to be prepared, so they had to prepare their selves.

Without any further explanation, few guards, lifted them up, and started escorting them out of the room.

Marcus was officially ascended, so now he was going to be given tasks directly from the leaders, and he was forced to accept, either he wanted or not.
