Mark’s Team – The Body Betrays Itself

Sophie screamed, her body convulsing violently as the parasite rot crawled beneath her skin.

Her flesh bubbled, liquefying in places, reforming in others. Her fingers stretched into something inhuman, her breath rattling like a broken machine.

Mark held her shoulders, trying to keep her still. "Sophie! Stay with me!"

Her eyes snapped open—black veins crawling across them, her pupils dilating into something… wrong.

Sophie’s body shuddered violently, her veins splitting open, dark fluid spilling out onto the floor.

Mark’s own fingers twitched. His vision swam.

He looked at his hand—his skin was bubbling too.

It was inside him.

It was inside all of them.

And then—Sophie stopped screaming.
