Tanaka Corporation

Another week had passed. Lin Yun's Solaris Heavy Works had caught the attention of various top figures in the heavy machine industry. It could be said that Lin Yun had set the industry on fire with his advanced CNC machines, which surpassed those of his competitors by decades.

Inside Sakura Country's Tanaka Corporation, Mori Tanaka stared at the Solaris CNC lathe in front of him with a heavy expression. The emergence of Solaris Heavy Works was too sudden and had caught everyone off guard.

As one of the leading CNC machine corporations, the Tanaka Corporation had suffered a huge blow from this. Mori could already foresee the downfall of his company.

The most painful thing was that he had no idea how to compete with this giant wolf that had come out of nowhere. All the chief engineers under him had confirmed many times that this CNC lathe was something beyond their current era.

"A genius, huh?" Mori murmured to himself.

He had seen the report on Lin Yun and he had to admit that Lin Yun was simply a heaven-defying existence. Whether it was the programming languages, AES encryption, Aegis, Cloud Browser, the bioplastics, or the machine in front of him, each one of them could be considered a revolutionary product. It was absurd that all of this came from a single person.

"Is there anything we can do?" Mori asked a middle-aged man beside him.

The middle-aged man said with a helpless expression, "There's nothing we can do at the moment, President. While we can improve our products by using this lathe, we have no way to surpass their EDA software."

Mori frowned deeply. He wanted to negotiate with Lin Yun, but he had no chips in his hand. It seemed there was nothing he could do at the moment.

"Hire more programmers," he said with a sigh.

"Understood, President," the middle-aged man responded readily.

As his secretary left, Mori reached out to touch the Solaris logo on the machine and murmured, "It seems I have to ask those politicians for help again."

"Why didn't you tell me about this, Boss?" Jake Ma's resentful voice echoed from the other side of the phone. He had missed a great opportunity to be a salesman for the CNC machines.

Lin Yun laughed slightly upon hearing this. "I didn't intend to leave you out, Brother Ma. This business just doesn't need any salesmen. People will eventually come to us on their own."

He paused for a moment and changed the topic. "How are the sales of Aegis going?"

Jake Ma's tone shifted from playful annoyance to genuine enthusiasm. "Aegis? Oh, it's doing fantastic. We've sold over 20,000 licenses in the last month alone. Governments, corporations, even small businesses—they're all scrambling to get their hands on it. Our cybersecurity software is practically a must-have now. I've got a team working around the clock just to handle the inquiries."

Lin Yun smiled, leaning back in his chair. "That's good to hear. Keep pushing it. Cybersecurity is only going to become more important as time goes on."

"Don't worry, Boss," Jake Ma said confidently. "Aegis is in good hands. But speaking of hands…" His voice dropped slightly, taking on a more serious tone. "I heard something from a friend of mine in Sakura Country. It's about Tanaka Corporation."

Lin Yun's expression didn't change, but his focus sharpened. "Go on."

"Apparently, they're not taking your CNC machines lying down," Jake Ma continued. "My friend works in the industry, and he's heard rumors that Tanaka Corporation might try to pull some underhanded moves to deal with Solaris. They're feeling the pressure, and they're not happy about it."

Lin Yun chuckled softly. "I expected as much. The moment we released those machines, I knew we'd ruffle some feathers. Tanaka Corporation has been a dominant player in the CNC market for decades. They're not going to give up their position without a fight."

Jake Ma hesitated for a moment before speaking again. "Boss, I know you're confident, but you should still be careful. Tanaka has a lot of influence, especially in Sakura Country. If they decide to play dirty, it could get messy."

Lin Yun's smile didn't waver. "I appreciate the concern, Brother Ma, but I'm not worried. Let them try whatever they want. The Sakura Country's government might impose sanctions on Solaris, but that's about the worst they can do. And even if they do, it won't stop us."

Jake Ma sounded skeptical. "You really think so? Tanaka has deep pockets and connections. If they decide to go all out, it could cause problems."

Lin Yun's voice was calm but firm. "Tanaka Corporation might have money and influence, but they don't have what we have. Our CNC machines are decades ahead of anything they can produce. And our EDA software? That's the real deal."

"No matter how much they try, they'll never be able to replicate it. It's not just about the hardware—it's the software that makes our machines so advanced. And that's something they can't steal or imitate."

He paused, letting his words sink in before continuing. "Besides, the industries that rely on CNC machines—electronics, automotive, aerospace—they're not going to sit back and let Tanaka dictate the pace. They need the best technology to stay competitive. And right now, that's us. Even if Tanaka tries to slow us down, they're fighting against a much bigger force. At most, they can buy themselves some time, but they can't stop the inevitable."

Jake Ma was silent for a moment, clearly processing Lin Yun's words. Finally, he let out a low whistle. "You've really thought this through, haven't you?… Seriously, Boss. Tell me. You are actually an old immortal who has lived for millions of years, right? It's too unreasonable for a young man like you to have such a deep mind."

"Maybe," Lin Yun chuckled. "I didn't get this far by being careless. Tanaka Corporation can try whatever they want, but they're not going to win this fight. The world is changing, Brother Ma, and Solaris is leading the way. They can either adapt or get left behind."

Jake Ma laughed, his tone lightening. "Well, when you put it like that, it's hard to argue. You've got a point, Boss. Still, keep an eye out. You never know what desperate people might do."

"I will," Lin Yun said, his voice steady. "But don't worry. I've got everything under control."
