"EUN-TAK!"
The computer club room was a mess. Chairs were strewn about, and tables had been flipped. Eun-tak was near the window, while Ling Xie was guarding the door. They were sweating from the 10-kilometer chase, in which Eun-tak had been in the lead.
It was a wonder how they still had energy after being cooped up in four walls and a roof for most of their lives.
"L-Ling Xie, calm down." Eun-tak was not ready. Even though he had passed that so-called "grueling" counsel by Young-Su, he still wasn't prepared.
How do you break it to your best friend—without ruining the friendship—that you were actually gay? That you were constantly being pushed down by someone your age, someone who grew up with you?
He was terrified.
Ling Xie had seen him, and he knew he had to explain. However, the scene where Ling Xie ran away—face red—before he could even utter a word plagued him day and night.
Ling Xie was angry. Ling Xie is STILL angry. What do I do?
He really wanted to cry. Or dig a hole to hide in. Or just die. He couldn't even decide.
"Ufft—" Eun-tak was ruthlessly hugged by a squealing Ling Xie, and the impact caused his sore butt to hit the floor. The pain, which he had been trying to ignore, hit him so suddenly that he subconsciously bit whatever was close to him.
"Ow ow ow! I'm not food!" Ling Xie had tears in his eyes as he stared in grief at his bitten arm.
Eun-tak glared at him while biting his lower lip. "It hurts!" He wobbled to his feet, holding his butt in pain.
When Ling Xie saw this, he had the greatest revelation. The hint he had been waiting for was finally here.
Not even giving a care to his teary-eyed friend, who was soothing his butt, Ling Xie jumped all over the room in delight, sending another table to join in the misery of its fallen kin.
Eun-tak tilted his head in confusion. Could it be that his friend was a closet sadist all this time?! Why is he so happy that my butt hurts?
He grabbed Ling Xie's arms, effectively stopping him from further trashing the place. Eun-tak opened his mouth to say something but shut it immediately. Ling Xie looked so happy that he was momentarily blinded. Forget it, he thought helplessly, lighting a candle in his heart for himself. Even if he is a sadist, I'll love him the same. Eun-tak cried a little inside.
"Wait! Details!" Ling Xie inched closer to Eun-tak's face.
"Ah?" Eun-tak pushed his face away with his right palm.
"I need details!"
Eun-tak felt that he could no longer understand his best friend.
"What details?"
"You know! How the sex started, who took the lead, how long the sex was! Especially how many times you did it and—"
"What the fuck?!" Eun-tak hurriedly smacked his friend's mouth shut as his face turned an incredible shade of red. He then dreaded the fact that his friend had actually known about his relationship with Young-Su for a long time. It was never pretty for your best friend to hear your secrets from someone else's mouth. Who knew what kind of stormy misunderstandings it could create? What's more, anyone who knew about their relationship had been sworn to silence by Young-Su and were trustworthy individuals. "H-How did you know?"
Ling Xie pried Eun-tak's hands away and smirked. "Eun Eun, you're so oblivious! Haven't you noticed anything about me?"
Eun-tak stared at Ling Xie in confusion, trying to pull his hands back. "What did I miss?"
"I'm a fudanshi!" Ling Xie flashed a proud, wide smile, expecting Eun-tak to either angrily punish him or join in on his fanboying.
"What's a fudanshi?" Eun-tak felt his ego deflate as he continued to question things he probably should've known by now.
But the truth was, his daily activities had been closely monitored by his lover ever since they were 7 years old, when he got kidnapped.
Ling Xie's eyes widened. His friend was actually this innocent. He suddenly felt like he was in a huge dilemma. "U-uh. Never mind." He turned his head away.
Eun-tak grabbed his neck and refused to let go. "I want to know!"
"Ack—N-No! You're not gonna respect me after this!!!"
"Ling Xie! Are we still friends?!"
The room was once again engulfed in chaos. But this time, it was Eun-tak chasing Ling Xie.
"Ahem." Young-Su gave a loud, fake cough. The door had been opened to reveal two guys leaning against the doorframe across from each other, with hard-to-disguise smiles on their faces. Chen Yi stood beside Young-Su, one hand on the doorframe and the other over his mouth, suppressing laughter while his shoulders shook.
Eun-tak and Ling Xie froze, still entangled with each other.
How long have they been there?! This was what Ling Xie worried about.
Chen Yi grinned, seeing them appear to be brawling. "Cat fight?"
That question made two people in the room feel like it carried another meaning. Eun-tak, however, was blushing when he saw Young-Su, remembering Ling Xie's blunt interrogation.
"Nothing...?" Eun-tak slowly said, exchanging a look of tacit understanding with Ling Xie.
Young-Su couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy seeing them so close, even though he knew Ling Xie was safe. He swiftly helped his lover up, enveloping him in his embrace.
Ling Xie grudgingly tried to get up on his own but found a hand stretched towards him. He followed the hand's path and immediately locked eyes with Chen Yi.
How do you react to your crush's helping hand?
Ling Xie jumped up and snatched his friend away from his lover's arms, placing him in front of himself like a protective shield. He hid his red face and inwardly muttered all sorts of curses to calm himself.
I look like shit!
